You're bidding on two vintage Sabre ultralight fiberglass freshwater fishing rods. These are the original California Tackle Company products. Both are 2 piece. 5.5 foot, 2-8 pound class. One is a custom made rod on a Sabre blank made by"The River Rat" of Arizona. Both rods are in excellent shape, the wrapping is still intact with no unwinding or deterioration of the epoxy. Guides are straight with no rusting. The tip of one rod appears to have had the guide re-epoxied, but no damage to the blank. The hypolon is still soft after 30 years. One of the reel seats is marked"Varmac" the other is unmarked. Nice high quality rods which are still perfectly fishable or collectable. Eagle Claw Surf Beast 8ft Spinning Rod
Found this 2 piece rod at a yard sale in the OBX. It is in good shape. Has all of its guides, but the top part of the rod is white and the bottom half is creme color. I don't know if they are from two different rods or the bottom piece has faded. No matter the two piece fit an d definatly seem to go together. Still useable and ready to use. Sold as is.

Rare fiberglass 1960s model, has 2 plastic reel mounting devices and regular reel mount so you could actually use it as a fly or spin rod,nice 3" lower cork handle with a rubber butt cap that's great shape and 6 1/2" upper cork handle with plastic reel mounts, metal ferrules, 5 guides + tip, on the lower section of the rod the first guide is barely bent on the upper and lower right side but doesn't affect performance of the rod,also the wrap just below the metal ferrule on the same section has a small part of the thread and shiny part of the wrap missing(the ferrule is still very tight and straight) minor paint loss on lower part of top section ferrule although it still fits together properly. The current model of travel spin rod from Sage. Which came AFTER the GSP(which is brown) This is the green SP. This is the 570 which is the heavier one. I have had a set of 370/470/570 for a while but never used this one much. Would work for tarpon and sharks and the like. For GT popping too. since I managed to catch a GT by mistake on the 470 version, and paid dearly for that) Comes in original bag and tube. With blank warranty card. The wraps are tight and the guides are straight. The cork is in good condition with a small number of nicks. There are a few scratches on the blank. The rod has a lot of flex and a parabolic bend.
