MINT Sage SP 890-3 fly fishing rod 9 foot 8 weight 3 piece
This is a Sage SP 890-3 Graphite IV fly rod in great used condition. This rod is for a#8 wt. line. And is 9'0" and weighs 3 9/16 oz. The rod itself looks unused save for a little darkening of the cork. There are no nicks, scratches, or corrosion on the rod. The reel seat is unblemished as well. However, though it looks it, this is not a new rod and in fact I caught a number of salmon with it just last year. I just have a"few" too many rods that never seem to get used and I am selling some to make room to buy more rods I don't already own) This probably makes sense to some of you out there. Anyway. Here is a great factory rod with sock& tube ready to be used and not stored away. The tube and sock are in good condition. This rod represents a little bit of history as well as hours of good fishing. It is an early Sage graphite rod made in the very early 1980s when Sage was still Winslow Manufacturing. It is a 9' 2 piece 5 weight. Model GFL 590. The rod has been well fished, but with a little TLC should still provide hours of fishing enjoyment. Note that the butt cap is loose, but should be easy to repair. The original bag and rod case are included. Please see pictures for condition and feel free to ask questions. I am not a rod expert. I can't say for sure the shade dates as old as the lamp. But it is an old shade. Has an old Fat boy socket in it; I've turned it on and off 25-30 times; works great. Should probably have no more than a 60 watt bulb, though in the old days, they regularly installed 100 waters. Designed as a task light, mainly for reading in the parlor. 56 1/2" tall. Lamp will be disassembled for shipment. Not hard to reassemble at all.

Please scroll to the bottom of the pictures and read the terms under our last picture. My Great Uncle owned a lamp shop in DC for almost 50 years. From the late 30's until the early 80's. The lamps we have listed this week came from his estate. My aunt, his daughter, recently passed away and we took these parts from her attic. Her Dad had strung these parts in order on a piece of wire and had them hanging in his shop. After he passed back in the 80's my aunt brought them home and hung them in her attic. About 10 years ago she gave us a strand of these parts. We found a threaded pole here on ebay and took the pieces off of the wire, sliding them down the pole in the order they ... morecame off of the wire and we have had a beautiful slag glass floor lamp ever since. I believe all the parts are here to make a lamp but it is missing the threaded pole and a proper socket cluster. The single socket that was with the rest of the parts is incomplete as shown and the pull chain does not work. The threads in the cast iron base are fine. The slag glass parts are a sage green with brown swirls through them. The only damage I see on this entire lamp is the chip on the slag base as shown. The steel and cast iron parts had been stripped of their paint or plating years ago and since had acquired some rust so I wire brushed them on my wheel. They could use some more wire wheeling to complete the prep work but for the most part that phase is done. The underneath of the base is still very rusty. There are 2 solid brass tubes, one with filigree, both are painted but I took my buffing wheel buffing a small area to show you how nice they'll polish up. The tube without the filigree would be the one that goes near the top like ours is. I laid these parts out in a line on the floor and they measure about 60" in length. Thank you for viewing. The sheet measures approx 72cm x 50cm with a vertical centrefold as issued. It shows an attractive hand coloured map of Asia. Colour coded into the‘Five Great Physical Regions; a lot of printed annotation. The text covers the geography and history of Asia; there are detailed descriptions of the five Great Regions. Condition is very good. Delightful hand-made wove paper. Some very faint spotting but no significant foxing or browning. Some soft vertical creasing. Edges untrimmed as issued. One small worm track in bottom margin. Verso blank. A lovely example. The map will be rolled and posted in a tube. This is an immaculate Sage 12 weight custom graphite fly rod. This is a custom made rod from the mid 1980's and one of the first sage rods. I inherited it and as far as I know. It has been used very little.The cork is clean, and the reel seat is immaculate. As far as i can tell there are no scratches or marks. This is a beautiful tarpon rod.

Blue, black, tan/ivory- color in the pictures are actually coming up lighter than they really are. These colors are way more muted and antique looking. This needs to be cleaned, but I do not see noticeable spots.
