This is a nice little reel that does not look like it has been fished very hard. It has one(1) ball bearing in the left side plate. The bearing sounds a bit loud to me. Other than 2 small blemishes, I couldn't find anything to keep me from saying it's in near-perfect condition. The 2 flaws are cosmetic- one is a small chip in the leading edge of the foot, and the other some loss of finish where the handle assembly makes the 90 degree bend near the body. This Penn Spinfisher 710 Reel was in excellent smooth working condition when tested. I backed out the screw on the side to check it and the end of the eccentric spring came out of the hole. I'm not sure how to put it back in but will send a detailed parts diagram. The Reel is in very good clean condition with only some paint loss on the support arm. The chrome is bright and shiny. PENN 930 LEVELMATIC VINTAGE CONVENTIONAL FISHING REEL
penn 930 level matic this is a pretty clean fishing reel. I found it at a yard sale in south florida. It has a little corrision on the reel seat and on the paw gear housing. You can rub yor finger across the corrision and you cant feel it. So their is no pitting and it really dosent look that bad either. The housing, screws, handle, and every thing else looks used but in 90% shape of new. The reel seems to work fine. The paw goes back and forth just as it should. The clicker is in good working shape. The drag works smoothley, and the encentric wich engages the freespool is smooth and easy to engage. I am going to guess and say that this is probally a 20 lb. line class reel. Here is a lot of an old penn reel wrench. Some old penn reel lube, and an old ecko can opener. These were all found in a tackle box. The penn reel wrench is rusted some. It says penn reels on the front of it. It has scratches, rust, etc. on it. Use the pictures to judge the condition. Also included in this lot is some penn reel lube. The package is very dirty and has places where the paint has come off etc. It still has some lubricant in it, but also has some of it that has been used. The last item in this lot is an old ecko can opener. It is a keychain can opener. It has some rust, scratches, is dirty, etc. The piece in the middle that holds the two halves together is loose. This is a used vintage Penn Reels Senator 9/0 fishing reel that is in good condition for its age. Please see pictures. The last picture is of the yellow handle torpedo knob showing a brown crack in it. This same picture also shows some scars on the handle(chrome part) where this yellow torpedo knob attaches. The outer chrome rings are not cracked. I bought this reel off of E-bay about two years ago. I removed the old fishing cord that it was spooled with. My plan was to use this reel for high speed wahoo trolling on a short bent butt rod. After doing more research on the wahoo high speed trolling I decided to go with a Penn 80 International reel for an even stronger drag system which is needed for high speed trolling. Paypal only. Classic Penn No.155 Light Saltwater Casting Reel 200 Yard Capacity With Box
The graphics on the box date this reel to the 1950s-60s. The box and the reel are both in very good condition. The spool is black plastic. Thus no corrosion. The metal parts are chrome plated, no wear. Sorry about the pictures of the end plates-black is difficult. The tail plate has an embossed lghthouse scene. The head plate is marked"Penn/no.155/MADE IN U.S.A.PAT'D. in a circle. The bottom of the foot is stamped"30-155" The tail plate has a strong on off click button. There is a throw-off lever on the head plate which puts the reel into free spool.It also has a star drag. The spool is loaded with a braided line which appears to be in good fishable condition. You also get a partial tube of reel lube and a Penn wrench. The Penn name is known world-wide.

Clean Penn Mag Power 970 Magnetic Cast Control Saltwater Conventional Reel
Hello. Up for bids is a clean condition Penn 970 Mag Power Conventioal Reel. The reel is in excellent shape with some small signs of wear. But nothing major at all. Even though it has evedence of use, it would be a nice addition to your collection. Although this reel, like the 990 in my other auction is very collectable, I did fully service it if you are inclined to want to fish with it. It has tef-gel on all the screw theads, and in between the plates and reel stand to keep corrosion out. New HT-100 drags, a much better 2 position handle up-grade, good free spool, shifts in and out of gear very smooth, and does come with the rod clamp as well. The rings are almost spotless, as is the spool, stand, and bars. The writing on the bars is not in quite as nice condition as the 990, but excellent over all. The other chrome, and plates shows a bit ... moremore in the wear department, but are in excellent shape. The left plate"Penn MAG Power 970" sticker shows wear, with the gold ring being scratched up. These reels are real work horses, very strong, and can tackle big fish. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and local pick-up is always welcome.
