VERY Clean Penn Mag Power 990 Magnetic Cast Control Saltwater Conventional Reel
Hello. Up for bids is a Very clean. Almost new condition Penn 990 Mag Power Conventioal Reel. The reel is in excellent + shape with only very minor signs of wear. It has only very slight evedence of use of, and would be a nice jem for your collection. You just do not see these in this condition that often. Although this reel is very collectable, I did fully service it if you are inclined to want to fish with it. It has tef-gel on all the screw theads, and in between the plates and reel stand to keep corrosion out. New HT-100 drags specifically for the 990(not the smaller diameter 113H Drags) a much better handle up-grade, very good free spool, shifts in and out of gear very smooth, and does come with the rod clamp as well. The rings are spotless, as is the spool, stand, and bars. The writing on the bars is in as new condition with no scratches ... moreor breaks in the letters. The other chrome shows a bit more in the wear department, but is in excellent shape over all. These reels are real work horses, very strong, and can tackle big fish. They're very easy to use and will flat out put the bait out there. Just keep the mag slide on slow or#8 until you get used to the reel and bird nests are a thing of the past. Don't touch the spool until your bait hits the water.Smiles I've always cleaned and stored them inside and have kept a cover on them to keep them from getting beat up. Line was put on the reel but it does not appear to have been put on a rod. The reel foot does not have any scratches as would usually happen when installed on a rod. Vintage Penn 66 Fishing Reel with old style Handle
A good Penn LongBeach#66 fishing reel. Very smooth action. Works very well. Reel has a fair amount of pitting on the inside bezel. The Spool is very clean. The cross bars all have some pitting. The reel includes the rod clamp on the bottom. The handle is the older"football" style. A nice reel for either a collection or full time use. There is a chip out of the left side frame at the first screw(See pic) The chip does not hurt the function of the reel.
