Vintage old 7 Tine Ice Fishing Spear for fishin fish ice fishin
For bid is this used Vintage 7 Tine Ice Fishing Spear for fishin fish. I do not know much about the spear. I have a few i will be listing, i found them in our old horse barn. This spear has 7 tines and it looks like the points might need to be sharpened. On the top of the spear there is a threaded part, i think you would use 1/2 in pipe and screw it into the spear for the handle. The spear is about 8 1/8" wide, from the longest point to the top where the pipe handle would screw in is about 11 3/4" long. Im not sure of the age or make but it does have some writing on the threaded part where the handle would screw in. 1/2 3000 steel Bonney AT 50. Someone made this little fishing rod out of wood and plastic(the brake on the reel and the little handle that sticks out on the side. It is hand carved and very ingenious. They even signed it in pencil. But I can't read the signature. The whole rig is 17 inches long and 4 inches wide. It is in working condition. This would be great for cabin or lodge decoration.

The wood is thick 3/4" and long at 23" and the width is 3" Wood is heavily coated by the factory and in it's original condition. These are the best built tip up ever. Clam Expedition Ice Fishing Shelter
Auction is for one used CLAM Expedition Ice shelter. It is classified as a 5'x6' shelter with a 72” center height. The box says it will fish 2-3 anglers. I bought as a demo from a store and set it up twice. The first time was when I got it and the second time for the photos for this ad. I never had it on the ice. It’s in good condition. With no rips, no tears, no broken poles, but the shelter does show signs of use. Today I found there was some sewing done at some point for one of the rod holders, and you can see the black thread from the repair in one of the photos. It’s in the same place as sewing on other corners, but those were done in blue thread. It comes with the original box, carrying case, four ice stakes and ropes and the instructions. Mel Keep fish decoys are included in the collector's reference book FISH DECOY MAKERS PAST AND PRESENT and are seldom seen on ebay. This pair of decoys measure 4 1/4" and 5" long. They are completely hand made and hand. The eyes on the decoy in back are burned in as was this carver's custom. The other decoy has painted eyes and may be an earlier example before the burned eye became commonplace. The condition of each is original and unfished with normal signs of age. This authentic and folky fish spearing decoy has wonderful age and excellent patina. It comes from a time when living off the land was a way of life for many in northern Minnesota. The length is measures 8 1/4" and the decoy is painted in pea green and white. There is some spritzing of red on one side that is probably not original. The most interesting thing about this fish is the unusual. Hand cast lead weight that is attached to the belly. It certainly appears to be original and kind of gives the decoy an interesting look. This is a vintage ice fishing decoy that was hand carved and hand painted by Herman Platz. Of Cadillac, Michigan. It measures approximately 7.5" Take a careful look at the pictures. 1940s MICHIGAN PIKE~FOLK ART FISH SPEARING DECOY~WINTER ICE FISHING LURE
This wonderfully folky Michigan Pike measures 8" long and is painted in a bright shade of pea green with a gray belly. The eyes are painted gray around a blue pupil. The decoy is in beautiful. Original condition with just the right amount of light wear and normal paint loss to the metal fins. The double dorsal fin really adds a nice element of visual appeal and collectibility. There was a belief by the former owner that this may be an early work by Isaac Goulette. I am not able to confirm this based on my experience with this carvers work but it is certainly worth consideration. The decoy has a wonderful form and great configuration.
