This is a really nice old vintage wooden jewelry box that has a billiards or pool table theme. The top of the box has a small pool cue and 4 small billiard balls attached to the top of the box. Which is made to look like the top of a pool table. When the lid is opened it reveals jewelry box or storage compartments including a ring tray. The inside of the case is covered with an attractive red material. The box sits on 2 legs that can either be folded in or folded out, in order to make the box sit lower or higher. The case measures 11 7/8 inches across, 7 1/8 inches from front to back, and 3 1/8 inches high with the legs folded in. This unusual jewelry box is in nice original condition with just some paint wear to the pool cue, and otherwise just very light wear normal for its age; and it has a great old vintage or retro look. Just discovered in an old printing building is this wonderful antique rolling cart/ table for one of those old letterpress! Oak base with cast iron top and casters- great Arts& Crafts look and great patina! It is held together by a bolt and screw method with exposed bolts. The cast iron top is made so that it cannot move once placed on the base. I tried to show this with the photos of the underside of the top. Condition: Just discovered in an old printing building. Nice used condtion, shows wear marks, nicks, scratches, dings, and dents from normal use. One caster has a chip off the corner and one leg shows some damage- see photos(I did not want to remove the added-on wood shelf holders, they are only nailed in, the new buyer can remove if they chose to) Measures approx. 40" high. Up for bid is the vintage/antique PRINTING PRESS with TONS OF EXTRAS/ BONUS PRINTING ITEMS/SUPPLIES. As seen in the pictures/ as described in the title. This is my first press find. I know little about it. Other than the missing roller(s) it looks to be complete and fully functional. No blarringly obvious defects whatsoever. From my research. I believe this to be an early Sigwalt Model from circa the late 19th century that is in exceptionally good condition in comparison to others its age. Features many original, multi-colored Victorian style lithograph decals at both sides and small accents throughout(at other sides and crevases, see pics) Some are faded and partial, most near complete and quite bright& vivid. Amazingly, the vast majority of the original black paint/ japanning remains. Another very cool feature is the last, very old ... morepiece of paper found in the frame. It is a"FASHION SHOW" advertisement/announcement that was to take place at Wallace School on Willow Ave on May 28, 1982. Also included are all of the extras found with the press. I do not"speak presses" so I will let the pictures be the extras' official description(see 1st& last pictures) I did not open any of the cans/tubes of ink/gloss though it is clear that they are nearly full. Actual contents/usability unknown. At the very least, they are neat display items and surely have collectability/value in their advertising qualities alone. The(10) quoins are of(3) different types/sizes/makers(see last pic) and have superb patina. The lead spacers are brand new. When found, they were in a box, half out of the package(seen in 1st& last pics) I just removed the rest to show how many are included(a few hundred, I would guess) I picked from a Northern N.J. farm estate that was first developed in the late 18th century. Original owner had passed and the lady who sold me this press did not even know what it was. So sadly. I was unable to learn any fun or interesting history of this piece. Wonderful Rare Victorian Table top Face Screen, Needlepoint & Beadwork 1840-1860
Here on offer is a wonderful rare Victorian table top face screen with needlepoint& beadwork. 1840-60. An early Victorian table top face screen with wool silk yarns and glass beads. To compose and execute the needlepoint tapestry. These small screens were a necessity of any fine home's sitting rooms, where visiting ladies who wished to sit near the warmth of the fire could place them to screen the face from the ravages of the heat. Makeup of the Georgian and Victorian era was often wax-based and would melt and run, quite literally, in direct heat, and those without makeup risked blotchy redness if exposed, so you can imagine how necessary these truly were. The gilded and embossed brass cruciform poles are in good condition with their original six little suspension loops and pretty pointed finials. One is a little bent. The gilded ... moreframe has a white porcelain base section to the upright that is uniquely in excellent condition without damage. The cruciform frame sits in a substantial base that is heavily embossed and is gilded. The underside of the base has a green woven woollen fabric to protect the expensive furniture. The stand is made to lift the screen out if desired. But slips into the base for hands-free use or as a decorative accent. The needlework is exquisitely done and embellished with beadwork. The hand embroidery has a robust canvas as a base which is entirely covered in cross stitch. The beautifully worked leaves are in satin stitch. The embroidery has been completed with fine woollen threads. The background is in lilac and deep rose. The leaves have a variety of greens with brown veins and stems. The beadwork forms wonderful dense hanging flowers made from white glass seed beads and faux pearls, with clear glass seed beads forming parts of the stems. The beadwork is remarkably complete with only five pearls missing. The panel is backed with black silk. The panel is in good stable condition. Possibly Edwardian era desk or library table is in excellent condition. I have owned it since 1980 and have not altered the finish. Although it may have been refinished prior to my ownership. This desk is very sturdy. The dimensions are 40" long X 25 1/4" deep X 28 1/4" high. Nice chunky brass hardware is complete and original. This desk is constructed of solid wood.no veneers.which I think is flame mahogany. The dovetailed drawers are constucted of what appears to be bird's eye maple bottoms(which is a very high quality wood to be used on drawer interiors) and oak sides. There is one center drawer and two deeper. More narrow drawers on the right side. Drawers all work smoothly. There is a platform at the lower level of the desk. The four feet are carved animal-type. Vintage 1960 Zenith Tube Clock Radio with Alarm Clock Table Top Model N516. Chassis 5N09. This Zenith AM radio is a tabletop style with an alarm clock. Not sure if alarm works and clock seems to work. The brown cabinet has gold accents and is made of modern plastic. The acrylic face plate were the clock and radio display has scuffs and scratches- typical for being more than 50 yrs old. The AM radio works but does not tune in. The knobs turn easily and smoothly with out any crackling but not able to tune station. There is something rolling around on inside- so maybe part fell loose. I do not have the tools to take this apart and not a radio expert. Maybe you are- This would be a great radio for you to tinker with. The clock arms move smoothly and alarm clock might work- not sure. The snooze button on top turns radio off but not sure how to ... moreset. Sunset Auto Pod table top camera tripod & grip w/ spring loaded legs & ballhead
You are bidding on one Sunset Auto-Pod as pictured. It has one condition issue with the latch. So please keep reading! This is both a small table top tripod and a grip. As the legs store inside the grip as shown. It has the small ballhead on top, and standard 1/4" male threads on the ballhead for your camera to thread onto. Releasing the small latch causes the legs to pop. And then rotating the base about 1/6 of a turn locks the leg in place. It seems easiest to pop the legs out, turn it upside down so the legs splay outward, and turn the base to lock the legs in place. To stow the legs, turn the base back and push any or all(they move together) of the legs back into the grip until they catch in place. It weighs about 11-1/2 ounces on my postal scale. When set up, the top of the plate where the camera would sit is about 8" above ... morethe table. The button or knob for the latch is missing. As shown in the last picture.
