I pull it with a Dodge 3500 automatic and it groans on pulling away from a dead stop.Trailer pulls.Tracks,and stops from hiway speeds great. Bottom line,this is a heavy rig for some one who is used to pulling a 7x11! I have had this drill for years and it was my primary drill until this year. Drill comes with Vermeer/ Digitrak style sonde housing,A straightline housing with the bit that mounts in the center,supposed to be good for on grade boring,some tooling,reamers and spare bearings,rollers, a hand full of parts that Im not even sure what they are. I have put alot of work into this drill and it has been a good investment and payed for itself in short order. This machine was bought new in 1997 and barely used. It has 28 hours showing on the power pac hour meter. It is a one owner and is fully functional. The owner had been a plumber for many years and bought this machine to do reroutes. He got sick just after buying the machine and held on to it thinking he would get better and get back to work. That never happened. He has been in and out of the hospital and developed some other problems that kept him from doing anymore plumbing. The machine has been sitting in his back yard. Unused since 1997. Everything works good. The pump fires right up and the ram runs in and out as it should. It comes with 200ft(100ft pressure and 100ft return) of hydraulic hose so you can park the trailer and pump on the street and wheel the trolley and ram to the work site. It comes with 4 bells and about 80ft of rod ... moreand one pull bar. It does not come with a directional boring tip but that can be bought at the ditch witch dealer. All the parts to this machine are still available and easy to acquire should you need anything. Trailer is not very nice after sitting in the grass for 16 years. I have started to repair it. I have put new fenders on it and am in the process of putting lights on it. Trailer has brakes but do not know if they work as they have not been hooked up to a truck that has a brake controller. I believe the trailer will easily last another five years if you don't do anything to it. If you work on it a little I think you could double that easily. It doesn't really matter because the trailer is free. You can do with it what you want. What you are buying here is the equipment. I do have a tag and title for the trailer. Tires tread is like brand new, of course, since it did not see much of the road but do have some dry rot where they were sitting in one place in the grass for 16 years. They are an 8 or 10 ply tire, though, so I would not be afraid to use them for the next 5 years.

1996 DW jt920. low hours 1100 on working meter. Comes with 10 seven foot drill rods no heads or sonde. Machine is just a spare for us but we need the space more than the drill. The machine starts right up, moves and drills but does need some minor tlc from sitting. Just rebuilt the drilling fluid pump within 30 days. I will list the things I can think of. The stop solenoid is missing the little bar that kills the engine we just open the engine bay door and kill it with our finger the part is under $100 on ebay. The water swivel leaks, the water pressure gauge has water droplets in it makes it hard to see in the rainy months. Some switches require flipping back and forth a few times to function this is from just sitting. The fuel return rubber line needs to be replaced it is bloated but works cheap fix. The lid to the water tank is missing. ... moreStrike system is bad from water it says there is a fault we just disconnected the alarm. This is a low hour machine that just needs some little things. Ditch Witch 1720 Drill with 320' of Stem No Reserve "Ready to Drill"
This is a well maintained Ditch Witch 1720 that is being replaced my a newer drill. This drill is not a 2014 model by no means but it doesn't have a $200.000.00 price tag on it either. I am going to try to upload a video of it working on 04/07/2014 shortly. It comes with the starter rod, collar, and head. This drill has a brand NEW(04/06/2014) chain and a NEW chain roller assembly on the front. It has ZERO leaks. If you want to know anything else let me know. It's a 2001 model.
