But I am selling it for parts or repair, as the volume and band selector controls are quite scratchy(I assume these can be cleaned with a contact cleaner after disassembling the radio) I made a brief test and found the radio does receive stations on the AM& FM bands. As well as aircraft and weather. The case has a few very light scratches on the bottom front but nothing that is majorly noticiable. The radio model number is AAH50KDC9AA1AN which has a firmware version of R03.01.00 with a code Plug version 05.02. And 146-174 MHz frequency. The radio comes with a charging base, charger transformer, belt clip, antenna, and Lithium-Ion battery. The charger transformer has some white spots on it as shown in the picture but this in no way effects it's performance. VHF Radio Parts Repeater Project
This is a pair of 5 watt VHF walkie Talkie Chassis that work. I bought these about 10 years ago to make a small repeater. But again it's another project I never got around to. Both units transmit and recieve, but one has no transmit audio(probably something minor) My plan was to use one for transmit, and one for recieve, with a duplexer, and a simple repeater controller. Both units are 4 channel capable and they have one set of crystals in them on 154.570MHZ. They also have dip switch programmable tone boards in them. These units will easily go to the ham bands with a crystal change. For the price, they're worth picking up just to experiment with. I will ship them the most economical way possible. You are bidding on a pair of Standard Hand Held VHF radios model HX230S with the Ni-Cd battery pack model CNB230. These radios come with a detachable antenna and a wrist strap. Also included with these radios are 2 cases that hold the radios and the antenna on the side pouch. You will also get a Standard model CSA240 Rapid Charger. These radios do work when charged but the batteries are no good so the charge doesn't last very long. But they do work. These electronics have been kept in a humid free and smoke free environment.
