You are bidding on a Tait 2020II- or 2020 series 2- commercial grade UHF transciever/ CB radio. Can be set to 25watt output if you are appropriately licenced. Programming software& cables can be bought on the net and here on Ebay. I have no idea what channels are programmed. Model is 2020-523-000. Which makes it 100 channel, narrow band(12.5KHz channel spacing) capable. Was in a commerical vehicle I bought. Partly dismantled- head was unplugged& in the glovebox, radio was still mounted behind the seat. I removed completely with the intention of reprogramming& re-fitting to a different vehicle, but never got around to it- too many sets& I'm standardizing with Icom units. This has been sitting in a box in my shed taking up space, so it has to go. Fitted with a remote head unit and 6m of connecting cable. Head can be replaced ... moreback on main body if fitting as a single unit is desired. Head unit looks near-new- markings on buttons not worn off. Etc. Externally looks good all over, have not tried to power it up. These things are pretty bullet-proof, though. Fitted with a mic that looks good. Top is Red Glass(not plastic) used and overall good condition: The entire fixture is about 7 inches tall. This is a very modern style of light. It has a quick release top to access the light bulb. It has a threaded hole that you cant ake a 1 inch standard threaded pipe and screw into the light fixture. The light uses standard light bulb thread. You can put in a standard house light bulb including a short CFL bulb. The light is very easy to get electric power to. You take your power wires wrap around the 2 screws/ tighten and that will give power to the bulb. There are 2 very small nick's or chips on the side of the globe- see picture with fingers pointing to the marks. These marks in glass are only on the surface- no major damage to the glass or cracks. The rubber ring is in great condition, not cracked/not dry. Threads in the aluminum base are in perfect condition- not stripped. Slight redish tower paint overspray on the alum base. There is a small cord that attaches the top light to the base so when changing the bulb the top stays attached. They all play beautifully with perfect sound. These five 7" reels each come in their own box. Four of the boxes include a cue sheet used by the radio announcers. The five individual boxes will be nested in the original shipping box used to send the reels from the production company to the radio station and back again. The reels represent parts 1 through 5 of the episode titled Fourth of Forever. These were originally broadcast September 24 1973 through September 28 1973. Tait 835-20 VHF programmable Receiver Module,Commercial/ Ham Radio Repeater
You are bidding on a used very clean Tait VHF programable Receiver Module model T835-20. This module was removed from a public safety system that was changed out do to FCC reband plan. It was fully fuctioning when removed from service. ser# 851979. Frequency of this unit is 155.490 MHZ. This Tait series is the correct I.F. Filter bandwidth for Ham Radio Repeater Use. It is also the Frequency cut just above the 2 Meter Ham Band so that it can be moved down into the repeater portion without modification. Keep in mind you will need to be able to reprogram a 27C64 E-prom with your new frequency. I suggest that you keep the curent e-prom on the present frequency so that you can verify that the radio is operating normally and obtain a prom from e-bay usually for a couple of bucks or a juke box or ammusement device company as these proms are extremely ... morecommon in their everyday devices and they may even be able to program your new prom with simple windows laptop software that is available from Tait users groups. This is a socketed prom so there is no soldering or de-soldering involved. You do need a degree of ability and understanding to be able to move the VCO to track to your new frequency and to peak up the reciever to the new frequency. No fancy equipment needed. Thses units are found from time to time here on ebay and were at Dayton Hamvention 2013 and were selling at about 100 Dollars. New prices were around 2700 Dollars. This is for a RARE Acetate Record from Aura Recording Inc. It includes advertisements for Nabisco's Cream of Wheat cereal. There are four:55 second radio announcements geared towards Back to School and the season of Autumn and each commercial includes a little jingle at the beginning. I have never seen anything like this before and I can't imagine many of these exist today since there probably weren't many of these made to begin with.
