Motorola MaxTrac 6M VHF Low Band Radio Ham Land Mobile
I purchased this radio from a silent-key estate sale. He had"converted" it for Ham use. It has some local repeaters programmed into it. Although I am not sure which ones they are. The bottom plate is loose, having only one screw in it that won't tighten all the way. At least one more has broken off. I got an antenna adapter and connected this to an HF antenna to see if the receiver worked. I did hear something once, but never tried to transmit as I never got around to putting up an antenna. It does have the scan function when the mic is on the hook(not included)

Low Reserve. What a find. Includes original box. Owners manual, unused mounting bracket and hardware. The solder is still on the tips of the wiring harness plus the original bill of sale. I purchased this from ebay from a seller that never used it in a mobile application actually really never used the radio at all. Cosmetically its a A+. The power meter is not included but for demonstration purposes you can see full output on VHF. I have owned another FT-90 for 10+ years and purchased this as a supplement to my other one. Great little radio. Hard to find in great condition as they stopped making these models years ago. I wanted one in the car and one in the shack since I have the programming software and was used to its operation. I had it for less then a year and one day on 440 it stopped transmitting. After taking it in to the local radio ... moreman the 440 module has stopped working. It will receive fine on 440, but no output power. They removed the module for me and I will include it, but in order to use 440 you need to install another 440 power module. I decided to purchase a quad band radio for my shack instead. Anybody handy with a soldering iron could get you back up on 440. The modules are available on e-bay new and used. The radio is still a great performer on VHF and is in mint condition. The mic cord plastic started to flake so I tapped both ends up with electrical tape. Motorola Low band (42-50) Mobile Vehicle Adapter (MVA) w/ P200
One of the all time classic Motorola coolest items made! This is a working MVA w/ P200 low band 42-50Mhz portable radio. This unit will turn any P200. MT1000, HT600(and I'm sure more models) into a mobile radio. The unit uses the accessory connector on the top of the portable(p200) to bring all the necessary connections over to the MVA. This means that the volume control on the radio just needs to be on.the volume level doesn't matter because it's set with the volume control on the MVA. It also means that the antenna on the portable is inactive when installed in the MVA as the external antenna jack at the bottom(or rear) would be used for the mobile antenna. The external speaker is a custom build from Motorola specificity for this unit. It has a built in 10 watts amplifier of audio power! The MVA also has a switch to enable a ... morePAC-RT vehicle repeater if you happen to have one. PAC-RT not included with this listing. The P200 is a low band 42-50Mhz 6 channel 6 watt portable radio. The battery has a crack in the case however it does hold a decent charge. This listing does not include the low band P200 antenna as the one that was on it was very old and the rubber coating cracked off of it. These antennas are cheap and available on Ebay. It will come with a classic full size mobile mic(w/ tape on the wire near the RJ45 connector) but no mounting bracket for the MVA installation. I'm sure a trip to the hardware store could solve that. The MVA is also a trickle charger for the P200. I tested this unit and it works fine. The contact pins on the P200 and the MVA should be cleaned as there was a little intermittent connections between the radio and the MVA but I'm sure it's nothing that can't be fixed. I can have the P200 programmed for you. Please let me know what you need. I bring the unit to a dealer; so give me an extra day to ship if you need it programmed.
