Nice late 40's. Early 50's Radio King 20x14 bass drum shell. In round, modern heads fit good. WMP wrap is not perfect and has wear and fading consistant with age(see pics) Shell is drilled for 16 beaver tail lugs, consolette rail, cymbal holder and spur mounts none of which is included. Shell looks to be mahogany with maple rerings. Some minor ring separation that can be easily reglued. Overall a rare bebop size in good condition for it's age. We ship to the continental US only. NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING! Pay Pal preferred.

1930's Slingerland 6.5x14 Gene Krupa Model– White Marine Pearl Gene Krupa model Slingerland Radio King snare drum is considered to be the quintessential snare drum of the late 1930’s when Swing Music in America was at its height. This model is exactly the same model that Gene used with the Benny Goodman Big Band and later in his own combo. Sing. Sing, Sing! With its heavy solid maple shell. Eight streamline lugs, stick chopper” hoops and three point strainer, this powerful snare drum is perfect for many styles of music. This Radio King snare drum is capable of ear piercing rim shots and powerful back beats but it is also sensitive enough for light playing. Slingerland Radio King 9x13 tom 1948-50. Description: 1948-1950 Slingerland Radio king tom. Chrome beavertail lugs. I was told that this tom and the bass drum I have listed as well were on tour with Bob Hope at one point. You can see evidence that someone tried to polish or clean the beavertail lugs at some point with some fairly heavy steel wool. All that said this is the absolute best sounding tom I have ever played. If hadn't just downsized my living space and didn't already have 9 drum sets I would definitely keep this.but I need the space so this has got to go. Vintage SLINGERLAND Radio KIng Snare - Cloud Badge
Vintage SLINGERLAND Radio KIng Snare drum. 5 1/2" x 14" 8 lug. Single flange hoops with"Radio King" engraving and Cloud Badge. Probably late 30's/early 40's. Maple is very pretty with some birdseye figuring. Interior seems to be mahogany. It's hard to tell but the shell looks to be 3-ply with maple reinforcing rings. Probably a student level snare. Maybe a refinish but perhaps not. I don't know. Finish looks like nitrocellulose, has yellowed a lot and has some very minor checking. All hardware is nickel and shows its age but is not pitted or rusty. Tension rods have lost some of the nickel plating and show some rust. Throw-off is missing the arm but it works fine without and has the knurled attachment screw which usually are lost. Bearing edges are original and very good. This is a lovely old snare and ... morewas played extensively by me over the years with a calfskin head(not included) I really love the warm. Responsive and somewhat raw/open sound of this beauty. The drum has a solid maple shell and features the black& brass badge"Chicago ILL. U.S.A" badge. The shell measures 7" x 14" The drum is in fair condition and could use a little clean up. The shell is very straight with on very small gaps when placed on a flat surface. It's within round to about 1/8" The top hoop is straight but the bottom hoop has a small bend. There are a few issues to to note. There is some light pitting on the chrome parts throughout but they should polish up very well. There are 2 tension rods missing and one of the rods ... moreis a bit longer. The arm for the snare-throw off is broken. There are a few stamps and labels on the interior of the drum apparently placed there by the original retail outlet that sold the drum. The heads are not original and quite old and will need to be replaced. Other then these issues. What you see is what you get. 1930's SLINGERLAND 6-1/2 x 14 Solid Shell Maple Snare. Wrap is fine glass glitter blue turquoise color. Original nickel over brass hoops(top hoop engraved) Original strainer and butt- strainer lever is new repro. Clamshell strainer cover is dented just below lever. But operation is perfect and does not affect action at all. Original tension rods and lug mounting screws. Brand new set of Puresound Extended Gate Snares($100) New Remo Ambassador coated top head and bottom clear snare head. Original muffler and tension knob. Wrap has scuffs by vent badge. Muffler knob, and intermittent scuffs around drum(see photos) Top 2" of seam slightly lifting and can easily be re-glued. Panels to right of seam. Right of clamshell butt, and to right of strainer have some small pinpoint dull spots, sometimes referred to as"fungus" see pictures) ... moreVertical area to left of seam next to lugs has slight textured area about 1/2"W x 3"H. Possibly from original glue overlap joint. Pitting on lugs. Hoops, and strainer normal for this 80+ year old drum. Some rust on clamshell strainer butt backing plate. Extra holes at strainer where Zoomatic strainer was previously installed before changed back to original Clamshell strainer. Shell round. In great shape, but does have one small1/8"W x 1/2" chip at outside of bearing edge(about 1-1/2 inch away from strainer lever bottom edge) that can easily be filled- does not affect sound or tuning. Mahogany inner and outer plies with maple reinforcing rings. Original lacquer finish with some scuffs after 60 years. No extra holes. Shell is round, modern heads fit. 8 streamline lugs with light pitting but no cracks. These lugs were discontinued after 1954. Brass oval Chicago Slingerland badge. Dating from 1951-1954. Single flanged nickel plated brass hoops. 16 matching tension rods and 16 matching clips. All appear to be factory originals. 3-point snare strainer w/ extension handle in good working order. 1930's Slingerland Radio King Tom Toms This auction is for two very early Radio King tom toms which date to around 1936. These drums were originally finished in blue/silver lacquer paint. Years ago. They were re-painted in white paint. Obviously not a great paint job but could be easily removed with paint stripper. All hardware is missing except the mounting plate on the 9x13 tom. 1958 Slingerland Radio King Snare Drum - Beautiful!
1958 Slingerland 5.5x14 Radio King snare drum in excellent condition! The drum is wrapped in Blue Sparkle. Date stamped Dec 5 1958 and has all original parts. The Clamshell strainer is in perfect working order and the drum is very clean. It has some signs of it age, light scratches, small pit marks on a few lugs and some rub marks on the hoops but no structural issues or major damage. The drum has its original snare wires. COB Sticksaver hoops and the internal muffler works flawlessy. Overall this is a beautiful drum! The snare will be fully insured for shipping.

Bongos Radio King Skin 936/1948 (See Note)
This drum concept was developed in Cuba in 1910. The drum looks complete except the larger drum skin. The drums measure 15 3/4 inches across. The small one has a 6 inch skin and the larger one has an 8 inch skin. The set stands 6 inches tall I have been told that this is probably from Japan 1950's/1960's and someone put the Radio King skin on the smaller drum. I can n ot be sure. Vintage Slingerland Student Radio King 7x14 Snare Drum 50s
Vintage Slingerland student Radio King snare drum in great shape. Shell is in round and modern heads fit snug. Black and gold duco finish has scratches and a few small chips. One lug has a small piece missing near the insert(see photos) There is minor pitting and scratches on the hardware but should polish up nicely. There is dirt on the inside of the shell that flakes off easily. The drum could use a good cleaning. Will make a great addition to a vintage kit or collection. US shipping is 24.50. Slingerland Radio King Engraved Hoops set. 14" 8 hole/ Chrome over Brass/ Nashville era. I had these on years ago. But just don't like stick choppers. There are little scratches and normal wear. The top hoop has a"weak" spot(pictured) that looks like a crack but it is at the seam of the hoop. Before I really noticed it after being in storage for years, Gibson blew up Slingerland! Slingerland Radio King 14" x 24" 9" x 13" 16" x 16" and matching 5 1/2" x 14" solid maple shell snare drum. Chrome lugs and rims. Very rare. Most Radio King kits had nickle plated hardware. No cracks in lugs. Brass Oval badge, 1951 production. Incredible drums. I have owned hundreds of vintage kits. This has been one of my favorites. Original Radio King calf heads on the floor tom and bass drum batter. The batter head on the floor is in near mint condition. Bottom head has some discoloration. Batter head on 9" x 13" is a Slingerland in great condition. Bottom calf head without a name. Calf head on snare batter side. Some of the best sounding toms I have heard. The calf heads help produce a very warm, round tone. With a lot of vintage kits with rail mounts, the mounted tom tends to be choked. ... moreThere is nice resonance with the 9" x 13" Bass drum sounds huge. Some slight yellow of the white marine pearl, but pretty minimal. The drums look great. More yellowing on the snare drum. Some dings on the rims. Vintage WMP 1958 Slingerland Radio King Student Snare Drum - 14x6.25 - NR!
Up for a no reserve auction is a vintage 1958 Slingerland Radio King Student model eight lug. Three ply snare drum in White Marine Pearl. Dimensions measure 14" by 6.25" Drum is in terrific condition. Besides the typical yellowing of the WMP wrap, the drum looks like it just stepped out of the late 1950s. Chrome is in terrific shape, no pitting. The wrap has no lifting or bubbling. The snare sounds terrific, great tone with a warm, vintage feel. The rimshots on this snare are also terrific. Evans head is newer and slightly used. Snare side head I believe might actually be the original Remo Ambassador head. Comes with a vintage Slingerland snare stand. A true player's snare! My guess is that it is from the 1950s. Or 1940s. I did not see the drum it came from. I think it came to me in a parts lot. I do not have another exactly like this. So don’t miss out. I have been cleaning out some parts drawers and found it. If your drum is missing one. Then you need this. This part has a chrome knob. And has an escutcheon plate. When I found it in the parts drawer. It was missing one round head machine bolt. The one that came with the muffler is the shorter one. I added the slightly longer bolt. So you will have two for when you put it in your drum. The parts still have the original rust on them that came with them. We left any further cleaning ... moreto you. Remember. Vintage 1958 Slingerland Blue Sparkle Radio King 3pc Drumset.The sizes are 14x22,9x13,5x14.The toms all have their original hoops and original calf skin heads except the snare batter head is a Rogers all of the heads are old and could use replacing but they are original.The blue sparkle wrap has darkened with age and expect normal use wear and light surface rust on some chrome parts,but a nice original condition 50's set.I left everything as we found it,the new owner can refresh the bass drum hoops and give the kit a good cleaning,thanks for looking!

You are bidding on a 50s- 60s Vintage Slingerland Drum Set- Radio King w/ Zildjian Cymbals. I believe the color was called Black DIamond Pearl. I do not know the exact year of these drums. But there were signs showing the owner played shows on them before 1965. The Drum heads still read Slingerland Radio King, and even the drum pedal reads Slingerland Chicago. A family pulled these out of storage, almost like a 50 year old time capsule. These Drums are the real thing from back in the day. Mufflers, hardware and all. Includes all the original stands seen on the drums in the photo. And also the vintage Zildjian cymbals and ZIldjian hi-hats. On of the cymbals is a Sizzle cymbal. I am selling a used. But in great condition, Galaxy DX959 cb radio. This radio is box stock and has never had the case opened for any reason. This radio works perfectly. I am including a Road King RK 56 microphone and a power cord. The microphone cord has a spot where the black outer part is broke, but the wires inside are NOT broken. Slingerland 1939 Gene Krupa Radio King Bass Drum Spurs
Open to International Bidders! This No Reserve auction. Is for a matched pair of vintage 1939 Slingerland Radio King era# 732" Stay-Put Sturdy Spurs" clamp-on bass drum spurs. These spurs will easily clamp to the wooden hoop of your bass drum to provide support. These are the bass drum spurs favored by Gene Krupa. I have enclosed a photo of Gene, playing his Radio King drum kit, and you can clearly see these exact spurs on his bass drum. Both spurs have the Slingerland factory trademark stamped into the metal of each bracket. All of the metal parts are nickel plated. But as you can see from my photos, the nickel is badly tarnished and a lot of the plating has rubbed off, leaving the raw steel underneath exposed. Even though these spurs match perfectly, the metal stamped logos that are clearly visible on each bracket are different. ... moreOne has the" Slingerland USA" logo, while the other piece has the words; Slingerland Shur-Grip" on it. 1950's Slingerland Radio King Bass Drum
Early to mid 50's(my research says 1953-56) Slingerland Radio King white-marine-pearl 14" X 22" bass drum in good condition. The nickel plated hardware is so much more classy and warm than chrome. 10 nice lugs per side. Tension rods and claws are decent. I have included a picture of the worst two sandwiching one that is representative of the other eighteen. The hoops are well-used with nicks and scratches and rash in the paint but. Are still presentable and functional. The hoop inlays are nice. not 100% perfect, but very nice. The wrap on this drum(along with the lugs) is very, very nice. It is unblemished and antiqued/yellowed nicely consistent with it's age. This drum includes one cymbal arm clamp. No legs/spurs included. Lower 48 only please unless otherwise pre-arranged. I do not know much about drums but feel free to ask questions that I might be able to answer by looking at the snare. I got this snare in a trade with a 3 piece 1951 Slingerland Radio King drum set(matching tom. Floor tom and bass drum) This snare was purchased to match as close as possible the missing original snare to that set. It's in awesome condition, period appropriate and sounds great. Look at the pictures to see for yourself. Incredible shape for this period. No damage, no holes, no cracks, no bent hardware. it's clean, perfect aging. Ludwig and Ludwig 9x13 Tom Drum From the days of Radio King & Leedy
This auction is for a Ludwig and Ludwig 9X13 tom tom from the days of Radio King& Leedy. It's in very good condition. It has a black and silver laquer finish that is in very good condition with some small chips after close inspection, it has been dated 1941 The stick chopper rims are original with some replacement rods and clips. It has calf heads, original mufflers and a cast hoop mount. The drum has no rust on the nickle lugs or the rims but some on the mount and the clips.
