This auction is for a used Henry Power Amp. Model C100D10R. It is 100 watt output amp with a input drive of 8-10 watts. This was originally a C100D30R amp which has been modified to the 10R with the additional driver board. It has been refurbished with new transistors and new antenna relay. There is a relay control switch added. Which allows the unit to be used as a straight repeater amp or, in the base position, allows it to be put in series with a base station to increase power and still allows receive signals. This has an RF sniffer circuit that will turn on the back circulation fan with an input signal and will stay on for 30 seconds after completion of the transmission. EIMAC Y-602 UHF Planar Power Triode (Similar to 2C39)
This auction is for one(1) EIMAC Type Y-602 Planar UHF power triode. It is in USED. Tested GOOD(at DC) condition. This tube is related to special tubes that are referred to as"planar" triodes due to the construction and relative alignment of the cathode, grid, and anode within the tube. It is similar in design and body style to the well-known 2C39 triode, and is of metal and ceramic construction. The date code puts its manufacture as being the 43rd week of 1975. The filament and cathode connections are via contacts in the coaxial base(see photos) with the grid connection being a concentric ring above the base, and the anode(plate) connection is via the top large ring. I was unable to find this exact tube listed in either my Eimac catalog or the book, Tube Lore. By Ludwell Sibley. Eimac made a number of 2C39 variants. Two variables ... moreseemed to be anode cooling structure(coupled with rated plate dissipation) and filament voltage. Taking a chance that this tube has 6.3 volt filament. I inserted it into the special 2C39 adapter that is used with my military TV-7/U tube tester. I was in luck- 6.3 volts works to"light it up" and the tube conducted! So, I can report that the filament does indeed light and the tube conducts well. The rated mu for a 2C39 is 100. I tested it using the settings for a 2C39 and it tested very good. Well above the minimum rating for a 2C39. However, the only really good way to test the usefulness of a tube in any given piece of equipment is to put into such a piece of equipment. I do not presently have a functioning equipment using 2C39s, so I am unable to test further than what I have reported here. Standard 2C39s are rated for 100 watts plate dissipation with forced air cooling. Other variants with anode structures like the one seen here are rated for as much as 125 or even 150 watts with forced air cooling. My guess is that this tube could be inserted into a piece of equipment that uses the 2C39 and the result would be a bit more RF power output if the power supply can del
