The S Series are the big boys- the loading coil on this one measures over 5 inches in length and is 2 inches in diameter and they handle 1KW. Hustler put stick on decals on their resonators and they probably lasted about 3 days on a resonator on a vehicle in the weather! This one is still readable. But is showing its age. I believer the newer models of Hustler resonators use set screws to hold the whip in the coils. I see why they made the change because this model uses a compression nut and it doesn’t do such a great job. The S Series are the big boys- the loading coil on this one measures almost 10 inches in length and is 2 inches in diameter and they handle 1KW. Hustler put stick on decals on their resonators and they probably lasted about 3 days on a resonator on a vehicle in the weather! This one is still readable. But is showing its age. I believer the newer models of Hustler resonators use set screws to hold the whip in the coils. I see why they made the change because this model uses a compression nut and it doesn’t do such a great job. It has it’s share of road grime, but seems to be in good shape with no cracks or other problems. Hustler Super Resonators are available for 80. 75, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meters. I replaced one fried looking capacitor near a hot resistor it was still OK. But I changed it anyhow. The two big caps were bad low ESR's so I replaced them with better caps. There is a fried looking spot on a circuit(pic 8) board near a resistor, but it does not effect it. I also sprayed some deoxit on the relay It would not key up full power some times, but it seems to be working OK now. Dead keys 80 to 90 Watts and modulates more. you can see it pegs the meter on 100. Probably could use some kind of cooling fan and the relay may need more attention. Needs a 35+ amp transformer to operate. No guarantees on this It is old electronics. It's last owner had it to drive ... morean old home brew unit. Thanks for looking!
