This head has a tall crown of about 1/2" And is tucked on a square-edged flesh hoop that itself is about 7/16" tall. Recent estate sale find. Overall cosmetics are pretty decent. There are some scuffs and light scratches here and there but not a ton, has a small cig burn on top of right speaker, light to moderate wear overall but still a solid looking 6.5 or 7/10 cosmetically across the board! Would look nicer if it was cleaned up! No real major nasty cosmetic issues except it is missing the battery cover and the power cord! Antenna is NOT broke and in good shape! I have not tested this unit so I am selling it AS-IS for parts or repair with NO returns so please look closely at the pics and make sure you want it please! The radio probably works but the tape decks will need some kind of repair im sure as all older tape decks do, belts, head cleaning, adjustments etc so please be aware of this! TIME MACHINE GE P-750A RADIO PLAYS!
Here is a real neat radio. A practical time machine. This GE radio has sat for decades, I dusted it off, put batteries in it and voila, off it went, picked up several radio stations clearly. We are in a rural area, so to get any besides the one right here in town was amazing. So, here's the good stuff, this radio is all original, it hasn't been tinkered with at all that I can see. The leather case is in excellent condition, with only a few tiny mars on it, and it is not crispy dry like some I have seen. It has been well preserved. It was built in 1957 and has 5 GE"Pinch-Top" transistors in it, again apparently all original.Both the volume control and tuning dial work smoothly, the on-off switch works well with a nice solid"click" when it comes on, nice. The leather handle is nearly perfect, all the stitching is ... moreintact, there is some tarnish on the fastenings which I will not touch, leaving any clean-up to the new owner. The front face and grill area is extremely nice, no vivible cracks or chips in the plastic parts, all writing is very clear and legible, this set has had very little handling.This is sold in as is condition, with no returns, exchanges or warranty. It was checked by me just prior to listing it and was working well, except for some scratchiness in the volume control.I will pack it up very well so it arrives to you in as listed condition. Rare HTF Zenith G615W Tube Radio White Plaskon Mottled Body 8373 This is a recent estate find. An unrestored original hard to find(HTF) Zenith G615 W white Plaskon marbled radio. The case is in excellent original condition. No chips, cracks, burns or stains but i did find a tiny nick on the front right edge. Has decent brass trim, good handle, elect cord and all tubes present. It hums and likely needs a capacitor. Original sticker underneath, as pictured. A great find for the restorer/ collector. I have been in the Antique trade for over 30 years. Collector for over 25 years and selling antiques and collectibles on eBay since 1998. Vintage 40's small Emerson tube radio-model 547A-brown bakelite case-works!
Here is a circa 1947 small five-tube radio from the Emerson Radio& Phonograph Co. of New York City. It has brown bakelite case(8.5" long by 5.5" high by 5" deep) and has no cracks. Chips or hairlines in it. It polishes out nicely. It has the original cardboard back and knobs. I went throught the set and replaced weak tubes. Filters, and audio caps. It has had the controls cleaned and lubricated. It has been aligned. It plays out with a mellow tube sound with its built-in antenna and you can add a long wire antenna to it for increased reception. It also has a pilot light so you can see the dial numbers at night. I think this would make a great little radio for home or office. The RCA Victor Radio was tested and the tubes lite, but could not get any sound out of the 2 speakers, has a phono input, the cabinet measures 12.5" by 7" x 8" is complete with the unbroken back panel with built in antenna and is complete with the original clips, the cabinet does have some wear and scratches, but is not cracked, is missing 1 knob but the RCA emblem is here, is sold as is and as pictured, looks and displays well, and would be a nice addition to your collection!
