Solid one ply maple shell! 5.5" depth x 14" diameter drum. It appears to be 100% all original including the heads! No extra holes. Clean and in very good condition. No extra holes, has cosmetic wear throughout as pictured. The top chrome over brass hoop has a crack in it at the seam(it's not cracked all the way in two) and it works fine as-is and is totally functional- see the second photo above the strainer. Vintage 1940's Black Diamond Pearl Slingerland Radio King drum set
Here is a 1940's Slingerland Radio King three piece drum set finished in beautiful original Black Diamond Pearl. Sizes are 14x24. 9x13, 16x16. These drums were purchased by the original owner in the early 1940's and they left the Slingerland factory together. Some mixture of nickel and chrome hardware but not very noticeable. 14x24 bass drum: The bass drum with this set has numerous"hidden" extra holes. Years ago. The original owner switched the small beaver tail lugs to the large streamlined lugs, leaving two small holes hidden under each lug. This can only be seen with the heads removed. Also, a couple of"mystery holes" and some damage repair near the bottom that are visible but hard to notice. The repairs are solid and permanent. The drum actually looks great. 9x13 Tom Tom: Note that the original two hole tom ... moremount on the 9x13 tom had been changed to a four hole diamond plate mount many years ago by the original owner. Also. There was some loss of the paper thin inner mahogany veneer where the holes were drilled. It has been glued and is now solid. No effect on the sound at all. It is covered by the inner diamond metal plate. Hardware is a mixture of nickel and chrome but all correct era parts and the difference in plating is not very noticeable. Very clean! 16x16 Tom Tom: The 16x16 floor tom is in beautiful condition! Gorgeous inner mahogany ply. No extra holes. Calf head on top. The floor tom legs have plating loss but are very clean. As is the entire set. Everything works perfectly. Two of the rim clips are a different type. There is no BUY IT NOW but all offers will be considered. This is a no reserve seven day auction. Vintage Slingerland Radio King Duco Snare Drum
This is a beautiful 1950's Slingerland Radio King(Brass Oval Badge) snare drum with nickel hardware except for the three point Slingerland strainer(chrome) This mahogany shell is in round that has been stained and refinished to a two tone(Duco) nitrocellulose(lacquer) finish. The shell has stress cracks between a couple of the beavertail lugs but seems to be mostly on the outside. Weather cracking is surface which is normal for a 50 year old drum. Some TLC can make this snare a player or a collectable. Snare drum is sold as is with no returns. Buyer pays $25.00 shipping USPS to the lower 48 states only. This is a very cool and unusual Fire King novelty coffee mug with a CB radio theme. I would place it as being manufactured in the 1970s as that was the peak of the CB radio popularity with truckers. This neat little coffee mug is entirely covered in CB radio lingo that was so popular with truckers in the 1970s. The wording on the mug is printed in bright red with the definition of the CB phrase below it in black print. There are over 30 of CB radio's most popular phrase listed on the mug. Included are phrases such as"County Mountie" Eye in the Sky" Big 10-4" Smokey Bear" so much other lingo used by truck drivers. The bottom of the mug has pictures of trucks and cars. This is a Slingerland Radio King Solid Maple Shell 5.5 x 14 Super Krupa Model drilled for the clamshell strainer. Niles black/gold pre-serial number badge dates this shell to 1961-62. New Page 1 Up for auction is a small 1937 SKY KING WOOD TABLE RADIO MODEL 1000 in very good original condition. The cabinet of this radio shows normal signs of age and wear: some light surface scratches. Some dents& dinks(mainly around the bottom edges) and one small chip in the veneer on the front upper right hand corner(see picture) It is hard to see, but it is there. The grill bars are solid with no separation and the grill cloth is in excellent condition with no holes, tears or rips that I can see. The knobs have no chips, cracks or breaks and turn freely. The plastic dial has some light surface scratches from use, but no cracks or breaks and the pointer is perfectly straight. It has a nice metal"Sky King" identification tag on the front and a paper identification tag on the inside of the cabinet with a serial number of ... more148552. The chassis appears to be complete with tubes, but you are buying this electronically AS IS because I will not test it with the plug end bad and a bad wear spot close to the cabinet(see photo) It has an extremely long antenna wire, which is in very good condition. Slingerland Rolling Bomber 6 lug Radio King 16X16 floor tom. White marine pearl has some fade but in great condition. All 6 wood lugs intact and in great condition. Tacked bottom head in good shape with all tacks in place(small tear) Appears to be original top head in good condition with a couple of minor imperfections showing wear. Seam is tight but shows some glue on finish.The top wood hoop has been repaired and the stain has stained the inlay and there are cracks in the hoop but does the job and looks very good other than where the repair is. The interior of the shell is in great shape. I've owned several radio king sets and this shell is as good as any I've seen. No legs.Muffler or badge(didn't come with any of these) Great rare drum!

Nice original early 40's Radio King 14 X 28. 9 X 13 and 12 X 14 set. did come with matching snare but it had been robbed of many parts so not including it here) Paint work on bass is gorgeous(but clearly needs buffing/shine-up. As does all nickel plating. Trap rail is solid and posts are rare hexagonal versions. Calf heads original. Replaced a few of the small streamlined casings with correct era ones. All mount systems present and functional(including Double cowbell/woodblock holder. Also has the(period) interior shell"heater" systems mounted to the drums. Will get more detailed photos up asap but a bit hesitant to take heads off BD. Also. A 1950's Slingerland Gene Krupa Radio King Solid Steam Bent Maple Snare drum, 14"x5.5" Designed by Gene Krupa himself and was made from 1939 to 1962. It has the classic chrome over brass clamshell throw and separate strainer. Very Art Deco styling. The solid maple shell and reinforcement rings are in excellent shape. No separations and no splits. This is a 1960 Slingerland" Super Gene Krupa Radio King" 5.5 x 14 snare drum in a very rare original Dark Blue Sparkling Pearl. This original dark blue wrap has darkened to a dark purple. Very common for this wrap and very sought after. This of course is the famous radio king solid 1 ply steam bent maple shell with maple reinforcement rings/hoops. this drum appears to be all original except the heads. Something that is very rare is the clam shell strainer throw arm is original and in excellent condition. The drum has usual wear for a vintage snare drum that has been taken cared of. original wrap has light scratches wear. But nothing major. chrome has wear/scratches. All chrome has been polished and shines nicely. 5& 1/2 x 14 one piece maple shell with reinforcement rings hoops. Slingerland Radio King WWII Era Silver Sparkle
Here is one beautiful Slingerland radio King snare drum from the 40's. the size is 14" by 7" and is all original except for the snare wires and heads. The drum has'ginger aled' yellowed out in color. It is in round and the heads go on easy. Clamshell strainer with longer throw arm is in working condition. This drum is sensitive and dynamic. the wrap is tight chrome is good with some brass showing through the plating. I've been playing since 1973 and this is the best that I've ever heard. This is for a vintage Air King table top wood tube radio model 4603. I pkugged the radio in and it did not come on. I dont know if it needs warmed up or not but this is how you buy it. There is a few minor scratches to the wood but nothing bad at all. The back cover has 1 ear piece broke off but is here but its just cardboard material. The inside is pictured. Slingerland Radio King Bass Drum L-Arm Cybal Holder 1950's
This is a Slingerland bass shell mount cymbal holder. From the 1950's I believe. I think it is missing a little spacer that goes between the nut and clamp. All mounting hardware is included. The mounting bolts are pretty well stuck on the mount. I'm sure they can be hammered out but it does not affect anything if you're just planning on mounting it. The plating or chrome is in good shape. I cant see any pitting, a few little scrapes hear and there. Could be polished up a bit. What is pictured is what you get. See pictures please. Slingerland Radio King Maple/Mahogany 3-Ply 6.5" Snare Shell
This is a beautiful Slingerland 3-ply maple/poplar/mahogany 6.5 x 14 3-ply snare shell. Circa 1956, drilled for the 3-point strainer and standard butt plate, 8-lugs, and Radio King 2-pad tone control. The original duco lacquer has been removed and replaced with a thin coat of polyurethane that will easily sand off. The shell is round and accepts new Remo heads. Bearing edges look close to perfect. Inner ply is without issues. Minor spidering of the outer maple ply. This is a great shell in a great size. Perfect for your restoration project. Please ask all questions before bidding. Late 1930s Slingerland Radio King Duco Toms w/Tack Heads Blue and Silver
Look at what we found! Here is a pair of Slingerland Radio King toms dating to approx 1939. The small tom is 13x9 with rim mount still attached. The large tom is 14x12. Both toms have internal tone controls. Please look at the pics carefully! There are various nicks and scratches. There is a square tape or adhesive line on the small tom. Both toms have a cut in the finish where it looks like they trimmed the bottom heads. Rims are stamped"Slingerland Radio King" These toms have the cleanest bottom heads I've ever seen on tack era kits. There's a stamp on the large tom's top head. It works! Takes a few seconds to warm up. Clearly in kind of rough shape. Missing one knob. Little crack in dial cover plastic. Paint chipped here and there as pictured.
