Vintage King Kone Ice Cream Cone AM Radio with Mailing Box
You are looking at a Vintage King Kone Ice Cream Cone AM Radio with Mailing Box and insert box. WORKS. See Note Below) AM Radio. Approximate size: 8"H. This radio came only with the brown mailing box and plastic insert which the radio sits in. The brown box is intact with wear and some tears. The insert top is yellowed but intact. The bottom part where the radio sits is cracked along the seams. The radio has a good cone. Stand and carry handle which connects at the bottom of the cone. The pink ice cream part is intact but is yellowed on one side. Probably due to being displayed in the sun. No cracks, chips or nicks, and it has a good battery compartment. Note to all buyers* These wonderful. Vintage radio's unfortunately DO NOT have today's technology for being static free, and tuning in a lot of radio stations. Here's an all-original 1948 Slingerland Radio King snare drum in excellent condition. Cloud badge consistent with that era. 7.5" x 14" 1-ply maple shell with orginal white marine pearl(WMP) wrap. Chrome-plated hardware. Including clamshell strainer with original"antenna" handle, 8-lug stickchopper rims and scallop lugs, Calf batter head, Scroll through the closeup photos at bottom of listing. I apologize for not providing very many. Let me know if you need more pics. Excellent condition; however. A previous owner attempted to polish the batter rim with something he shouldn't have used, and the finish has been dulled. A major vintage drum and priced to sell! Look at what we found! Here is a Slingerland Shur Grip bass drum muffle dating from the late 1930s. Most of the original gold plating is intact! It looks like someone has added some sort of nut/JB Weld contraption to get more distance out of the adjustment screw. But that could be taken off and replaced(I don't know if the original design was for a block of wood or not) The gold plating makes this a really neat find! This tom is totally complete. Looks and sounds great. Has no badge or air grommet which I believe is common for 40's drums. Stick saver hoops but no engraving. There are a few extra holes on the inside. All are small, don't affect the sound and cannot be seen from the outside. Plies, wrap and re-rings are all tight. Great player's tom with cool and rare lugs, perfect diamond tom mounting plate and complete tone control.

USA Slingerland Radio King solid 1ply steambent fat maple shell WMP engraved TDR
There is no visible wear on this superb"Minty" condition Slingerland 1 ply Radio King snare drum. The shell is a solid maple steam-bent construction. Some experts say that this shell could very well have been made by JASPER furniture of Indiana. The shell size is 14" x 6" and inside has maple reinforcing rings. It has the vintage style cloud badge and the chrome is extra clean. The digits"0089" which is crash imprinted inside the shell. So it maybe have been made in 1989 or it is serial number 89. not sure? There is no visible wear on this superb drum that was assembled in the(Gretsch) Ridgeland. SC factory. It is equipped with the very rare Slingerland TDR strainer and has the"Radio King" engraved stick chopper style hoop for that signature warm Radio King tone! The REMO Ambassador coated batter and ... morehazy snare side drum heads are in excellent condition. The White Marine Pearl wrap is just gorgeous and looks spectacular in the light. As you can see in the photos this drum has had little time outside of the home when it was purchased many years ago. This is the more scarce deep 6" deep shell which has an amazing tension range. Slingerland radio king snare drum, bass drum, Zildjian cymbals and accessories
Vintage green sparkle Slingerland Radio King 7"x 14"snare drum and 14"x22" bass drum. The bass drum is missing one head but includes the hoop and lugs(some of which are bent) as shown in the pictures. The sparkle finish on the drums are in good condition considering their age. There is significant wear on the metal parts of the drums consistent with age. The hoops on the bass drum have scratches and tape residue but the sparkle finish is in good shape. Also included in this auction: 2 Zildjian crash or hi-hat cymbals 11" and 13" Vintage anvil case with wheels 14"W x 32"L x 25"H, Slingerland Epic bass pedal, Bass Muffler, two cymbal arms that attach to the bass drum, a vintage snare stand(quite rusted) a Samson cymbal stand, a throne, a ratchet, a 24" Yamaha bass drum head which does not fit ... morethis bass drum, parts of a hi-hat stand, an extra set of generic bass lugs(not Slingerland) cymbal felts and other miscellaneous small parts. Slingerland Radio King Vintage '40's Gene Krupa Radio King Deluxe Drum Set
This listing is for a rare Slingerland Radio King drum set which according to 40's Slingerland catalogue looks like the Gene Krupa Super Radio King Deluxe drum set minus the snare which I will be listing separately. The shells are made of three inner plies of 1/16" mahogany. 1/8" poplar and 1/16" mahogany with an outer ply of maple with 2" maple reinforcing rings. The three toms have internal tone controls or mufflers which all work well. The drums are finished in a natural maple lacquer stain. All the hardware is nickel plated. the beavertail lugs show some pitting. The flanged hoops are all in very good condition with nickel plated steel clips attaching them to the lugs with the tension bolts. The three top hoops of the toms are engraved"Slingerland Radio King. The clips gave the hoops the nick name of"stick ... morechopper" or"stick eater" hoops. The bass drum is the only drum with the aluminum and white cloud Chicago Slingerland badge indicates that the drums are from 1944 or'45. the drums appear to have all the original lugs. Tension rods, hoops clips and internal mufflers. The catalogue does state that the drums were available with lacquer finishes or the popular pearl finishes of the day. The bass drum hoops are black painted maple with white marine pearl inserts, however the resonant side hoop is missing about half of it's insert. The drum sizes are: 9" x 13" rack tom. 12" x 14" rack tom. 16 x 16" floor tom. 14" x 28" bass drum. The floor tom does not have attached legs so I got a suspension basket that it sits on. the floor tom can be attached to the basket with four longer tension rods which are not included in the listing. The rack toms do each have two holes for mounting hardware that would clip on to the bass drum hoops. But a previous owner must have removed them so I put them in stands as shown in the pictures, the stands are not included in the listing. The bass drum has two Danmar clip-on claws. Heads are all new.

Vintage 40's Slingerland Special Student Model Radio King Snare Drum Shell
Vintage 40's Slingerland Special Student Model Radio King Snare Drum Shell. The shell is 14x5 3/4. It's a six lug student model in white marine pearl. It's a three ply poplar. Mohagony, poplar shell with solid maple reinforcement rings. This cloud badge was used particularly on juvenile or marching line drums. All parts are original and have not been changed. The three point strainer is missing the top lever arm. The snare butt and tone control are complete. The wrap is still tight all around the drum. There is some lifting of the inner mohagony ply in one small spot. Also the reinforcment rings in one spot on the top and bottom are starting to separate. There are some minor stress cracks from hardware. I do believe that this drum can be fully repaired. Please ask any additional questions if needed.

Vintage 50's Slingerland Radio King 13" Rack Tom. This drum measures 13x9 in white marine pearl. It has stick chopper style hoops with" Slingerland Radio King" engraved on the top hoop. This is a three ply poplar. Mohagony poplar, shell with 2" maple reinforcement rings. The bottom hoop has wear in one spot where the brass begins to show. The wrap on top and bottom in a tiny spot are missing, but is tight around the entire drum. The diamond plate has seen better days, but still functions well. The bearing edges are perfect as well as the inside of the shell. All parts are original except for the heads and tension rods, which were rusted beyond working order. This is a Slingerland Duco Radio King snare drum circa 1930-40's. The shell is a one ply steam bent maple with maple re rings. Someone has filled in a few holes in the batter side reinforcement ring(cannot be seen from the outside) but outside of this there are no extra holes. modern heads fit very snug. But can be adjusted) Also, it appears not to be the original outside finish but may look better clear coated. The lugs are chrome and half are original, but the other half are modern reproduction lugs. The tone control has'red' felt pads which looks great. Snare extensions seem to be original and so does the 3 point strainer. Actually you would be hard pressed to find any make of an 8"x 15" snare drum. Especially one in this condition for this money! Not absolutely positive but I do believe it is the 1959 Concert King shown in the 1959 Slingerland catalog. It is an 8"x 15" 3 ply Mahogany with Maple Re-Rings. This drum has 16"Triple Plated" Nickel/Chrome over Brass lug casings and Extra Thick"Triple Plated" Nickel/Chrome over Brass Hoops. Packing the 3-point Radio King Strainer and the Dual Pad Tone Control Muffler. Sporting the pre-serial number Black& Gold Chicago Badge. This bad boy tunes up nicely and everything is in excellent working ... moreorder. I tried to provide enough close up photos to cover every square inch of the shell and hardware. The finish on the shell does have a few very minor nicks and scratches but you have to look really close with good lighting at just the right angle to see them. Slingerland Vintage '40's Radio King Gene Krupa Snare Drum 7"x14" single ply
This listing is for a Slingerland Radio King 1944-45 Gene Krupa Radio King Deluxe 7" x 14" snare drum. This rare vintage snare drum is made of a one ply steam bent maple shell with 1" wide solid maple reinforcing rings. Sixteen nickel plated beavertail scalloped lugs with nickel plated tension bolts hold the double flanged nickel plated top rim which is engraved"Slingerland Radio King" The bottom hoop is nickel plated with snare protector plates riveted to the hoop to protect the 12"cat gut" snares. The shell is finished in a natural maple lacquer stain finish. The drum has the three point snare throw off with the arm extension secured with a knurled nickel plated screw. All the hardware is in excellent condition with no pitting or rust. The tone control internal muffler is in great working condition. The ... moreresonant head is a calfskin Leedy/Ludwig in great condition. The batter head is a new Aquarian American Vintage medium head. Sized to fit the slightly larger than standard shell of the Radio King snare drum. This snare drum is shown in a 1940's Slingerland catalogue as being part of the Slingerland Gene Krupa Radio King Deluxe drum set. I have the four piece drum set listed separately on eBay. The only flaw in this wonderful snare drum are some surface stress cracks in the wood between the beavertail lugs. The cracks do not extend through the one ply shell to the interior. The worst crack is shown in picture number 10. The interior is unfinished and in excellent shape. The drum has the aluminum with white paint Slingerland cloud badge. The Classic Radio King with 8 center lugs and three point throw off. According to the badge this is a 1949-52 solid maple snare in white marine pearl with all the original parts- lugs. Rods, wires and hoops. Wrap is very tight. Newer heads on top and bottom. I believe the photos will tell the story. Been in storage for 40 years. Condition is Excellent for 65 years old. With a nice dry crack for backbeat playing and nicely balanced lows to give it a very full sound. 1950's Slingerland Radio King 14x5 Snare Drum
You are bidding on a 1950's Slingerland Radio King 14" x 5" Snare Drum. With a 6-lug pattern. It was made in Chicago, Illinois. I got this drum, used, over 25 years ago. It was missing the throw-off and strainer, so I never used it. The throw-off has been replaced and any old strainer will work on it. As I said, it is used. so I don't know any of the history. There doesn't appear to have been any boring, drilling, hammering or any other sort of modification that would hurt it's value. Let me know if you have any questions. Vintage 1950 Radio King Snare kit set a. zildjian trans stamp hi hat w/ case
Would like to keep it all together and not part it out. Looks to have been together since birth. From a local estate As shown and happy to answer any questions I can. If things don't look put together properly that is because I am a string player. Never put one of these together before. But I see where the term drum kit comes from now. It all came out of the black vulcanized Fibre case. Less the kick drum. You will receive all the drum components in the photo except for the stool. Which is not included. The solid rim 5 1/2 x 14 Radio King snare, the 14 x 20 bass drum. Both in White Marine Pearl.yellowed nicely. The bass drum heads are clearly marked Radio King Calf skin. The snare is well marked Radio King. These drums do not look like they were greatly abused in their lives. Just honestly put to use and enjoyed. A period Trans Stamp ... moreAvedis Zildjian hi hat. The cymbals weigh 1008 and 539 grams. Additional cymbals include a Zenjian at 486 grams, one marked Germany at 940 grams and a little crash with a handwritten name on it that is 261 grams. No cracks or other damage noted. Also none of the keyholing some exhibit. The bass and the snare both appear to have mufflers attached. Leave or remove as you wish. There appear to be additional mounts and or racks on the bass but I'm unclear what may have been there. The worst issue I can see are the broken and missing bracket on the bass drum, on the bottom front where you might expect to find this. No noted associated damage in that area. These brackets appear readily available. Also the small bit of damage to the top of the bass near the back rim. Maybe a hot coal from a long ago cigarette. They used to be cool you know. Please see the photos. One of the belt straps on the fibre box is missing. The single belt does a nice job holding it together though. Also included are several sticks. Some marked Rogers R 1A, MMM 28, Slingerland. Rogers 5A, etc. The sticks aren't fantastic shape wise but came with the set. So, what about the price? I feel that an all origin

Vintage Selmer Radio Improved Alto Sax Saxophone w King Super 20 Cleveland Case!
I am selling a bunch of vintage woodwinds from the collection of a friend who has(mostly) retired from playing after a career leading big bands for 60+ years. I am an experienced saxophonist/clarinetist and have play checked all of these instruments. Please read descriptions. Examine photos, and ask any questions before placing bids. Also. Check out my other auctions, as there are several rare vintage items including a vintage Buffet R13, Selmer Centered Tone in A, Selmer Series 10, a Selmer MKVI tenor in silver plate, and a Radio Improved Alto! You are bidding on a Vintage 1935 Selmer Radio Improved Alto Saxophone w/King Super 20 Cleveland. OH Case! The serial number is 20215, making this one of the last Radio Improved models made before production of the balanced action began around#21750. These are fantastic horns and outplay a lot of ... morethe more expensive vintage offerings from Selmer in my opinion. The lacquer appears to be original. As the engraving is deep and clear, with about 40-50% remaining intact. The horn is playing on a mixture of mostly newer plastic domed resonator pads, and a few older rivet resonator pads. Overall, the body is in very good condition, with only a minor ping or two in the bow area. There is an area under the lower foot of the Eb keyguard that may have had some minor dentwork, and the Eb keyguard may have been removed and resoldered at one time. The neck is in beautiful shape, but appears to have been pulled down at one time and EXPERTLY repaired. There is no telltale"pooching" on the sides of the neck. The only giveaways are the missing lacquer on the sides of the neck and the octave lever post appears to have been very cleanly resoldered. In addition to playing from the low Bb up into the stratosphere. And having lots of cool features like left side bell keys and a typewriter G# this horn is LOUD. Next to my King Super 20 Silversonic alto with resotech domed sterling resonators, this horn is the clear winner in terms of volume, which was very surprising to say the least! I

1956 Slingerland Snare Drum .. Radio King or Sound King ?
I have for sale what I was told was a 1955 or a 1956. 3 ply Radio King. I'm not a Musician, so ask if you have any questions. The finish is decent for it's age, but shows wear and tear as pictured, The handle is missing that operates the throw off. The Chrome parts have normal light pitting, but looks like it would clean up decent. The bottom head needs replaced for sure, it has a few tears, the top head is dirty, but looks intact. Have up for auction a Nice Bendix King DMH5992X mobile vhf radio. This unit is Project 25 compliant and is used in many wildland fire. EMS, Fire, and other public safety departments. Unit was used for about 6 months as a spare unit and works great. Has BK LAA0290 programming mic, bracket screws are present but sorry no bracket.
