For your consideration is a relisted used ICOM IC-M402s. A well reviewed, reliable marine VHF. It transmits well and has very good reception, plus it's compact. RF output 27 watts. I would rate it a 8 of 10 cosmetically, nearly perfect front panel. Channel controls are also on the mic. I do not have the original bracket, but will include one you can sand and paint, it'll need two nylon washers to fill the small gap so it will tighten down. ICOM IC-M127 Marine VHF Radio, Rebuilt Screen, Mic. Excellent Receive & Transmit
A few years ago. I retired as a commercial boat captain, and now do some broadcast engineering etc. I have always love the reliability of the ICOM radios, well built and reliable when you need communications, I used quite a few in my career. Last year, I purchased a number of the ICOM IC-M127's, top of the line radios. Each was affected by the sun whereas the LCD screen get's burned in the center. I removed the screen and purchased special polarizing film specifically designed for LCD displays. You'll note that the numbers shown up really well now. The display with show the mode, transmit, signal strength and a few other letters. It is a bit darker than original, but it is a major improvement compared to what it looked like earlier. I was not able to find the original mic anywhere, but was did come up with one by Icom that works ... morefor basic functions only, that is to transmit. This radio is really clean, NO corrosion, and a real nice front panel. It receives and transmits well, with solid modulation, 27 watts output, and excellent receive sensitivity. The only reason I am selling the radio is I tested for my Technician and General licenses and then purchased another radio. The front panel lights were recently replaced and are like new. Note that the R7100 has a reputation of running hot when it is powered off the wall. I suggest running the radio using the 13.8V connector and the radio runs very cool.
