However I don't often get a chance for one of these R7000's to pass through my hands so playing around with it during my testing was a pleasant reminder of this receiver's capabilities and of it's design. The R7000 receiver is a consumer model, but sure feels like mil-spec equipment as it is built like a tank using plenty of metal and generous use of high end components. Icom designed this receiver to mate with it's R*71A receiver which covers the low bands. Theoretically if you ... morehad both receivers, you would have DC to day light reception. Since this unit offers reception above 25 Mhz, that is what we will focus on. Overall condition of the unit is very good. But this receiver has a bit of cosmetic damage on the rear panel. The prior owner shipped this receiver to me and packed it without the proper precautions. As a result, the antenna input was damaged and had been replaced. The AC input panel has an indentation, but this is purely cosmetic. I removed some input connections that were to an unusal mod and these jacks left some marking on the rear panel near the top. Basically, the unit is above average condition on the front, the sides, and the top, but below average on the rear panel. For sale is a used bundle of various marine VHF radios. These are being sold AS IS and we are not offering returns. All 8 of the radios were powered on and all of them powered correctly. And two of them did not have back light functions. They were not tested for transmission with any antennas, so there is NO GUARANTEE that they transmit properly. They may work perfectly. They may not so expect to buy this bundle FOR PARTS ONLY. PLEASE READ EACH DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY. Each radio will be described in detail below. They consist of the following: 1) Furuno FM-3000: Radio housing shows signs of sun fading and some dirt. Back light functions correct and unit powers on fine. Handset in overall good shape. With some slight water corrosion on the metal mount disc on the back, and dirt on the front of the mic piece. The back of the radio housing has ... moreslight corrosion on the heat sink and RCA plugs. 2) iCom IC-M502: Unit powers on fine and back light works properly. Housing on overall good condition with some dirt in the corners and on the knobs. Back of the housing has some water corrosion on the heat sink and around the antenna port/ network port. Handset is also sun faded and metal mounting disc is corroded. Button function properly. 4) Raymarine Ray54: Unit powers on properly and back lights up. ICOM Model IC- A200 VHF Air Band Transceiver This 7 year old aircraft radio was recently removed from an RV-7. It still looks sharp and hasn't seen much use. It comes with everything necessary to mount in your aircraft. Including a new ICOM mounting tray, installation instructions and a bag of new ICOM supplied installation connectors, Molex, etc. It was working well when removed, however it sometimes has a crackling noise in the audio. An avionics tech suggested that the audio amp section probably has a faulty component. This condition has existed for over a year with no change. The noise problem does not affect the unit's ability to transmit and receive clearly. The noise usually occurs after about 20 minutes of operation. I recommend that the purchaser of this radio send it to the ICOM factory service center in Kirkland, Washington ... moreprior to installation. This sale is for a control knob as used on the Icom IC-R9000 receivers. There are 2 of these knobs located on the upper right side of the front panel of the R9000 that control the IF Gain and the Notch control functions. If you are missing this knob or have a damaged knob. You know that they are nearly impossible to find as the knob was specific to this receiver. The knob is in good overall cosmetic condition, but the white marking appears to be weak and may need repainted, if desired. Please email if you have any questions.
