For sale is an Icom IC-F21 Transciever. Battery Charger, and Instruction Manual. The exterior of the rubber duck antenna looks like it cracked and has fallen off leaving the antenna coil exposed. The battery seems to retain a charge. It comes with the belt clip installed. I'm not sure what frequencies this is supposed to operate on. But it does have a 16 channel switch on it. This is an Icom R-7000 wide band receiver. This one has 2 issues. First the signal meter bulb is out and the unit has the typical display light issue. The pictures show the display working which it it does once it warms up, otherwise it only shows a few characters. I can supply the name and web address for a former Icom Technician who works on these radios as well as other Icom legacy radios if you choose to repair the display. Also, if you are technically savvy, this is not a terribly hard repair to do. The radio comes with the DC cable. AC cord and the needed plug when using the AC power cord. This radio has been powered strictly by DC power for the past many, many years. It has been stored for last 2 years. I set it up with an external power supply to try it out. I have worked 2m, repeaters with several QSOs just fine. The 440 was receiving ok but not transmitting. When ever I tranmitted the transmit light would go off. I was using a mobile antenna that may have been 2m only. Since I could not get proper TX on 440, I am selling it as is. This is an ICOM IC-V8000 75 watt 2 meter radio in a portable communications kit with power supply and accessories I have built many of these types of kits for my ARES crew and they have served us very well. I decided that I would sell some of mine. As I have started building several other emcomm kit designs as well. This one has an ICOM IC-V8000 75Watt 2 meter radio in it. This is a great high power radio. I originally had several. The case is a nice M138(Pelican 1500 clone) hard case with identical interior dimensions to the Pelican 1500. It has a main board installed in it. The daughter board with the radio attaches to studs in the main board and can be installed/removed in seconds with just 4 wing nuts. This design uses a nice Samlex 23A switching power supply. The power supply is also fully removable with screws to the main board! The ... moredesign also includes a multi-outlet Anderson powerpole connector unit so you can attach other DC devices to the power supply or supply an external 12V DC source such as a battery or cigarette lighter plug to power the radio when AC is not available. Just unplug the power supply and attach the external source. A bulkhead connector is mounted to the case and will accept any PL-259 cable for your antenna. The unit also has a volt meter for voltage monitoring and a real nice nice clock/temperature/humidity unit. This system would be great for any ham. Whether you are ARES/RACES or just a ham who likes a kit that can be moved anywhere for operation, field day, demo, etc. with ease. The radio was bought a few years back and installed into this case. Mic and manual is included in the kit. This kit will also come with another daughterboard. You can mount another radio on it and swap it out in seconds! This kit has not had much use. As I have now designed over 50 different types of kits. I put this one up for those looking for such concepts. This is a great chance to get a ready made kit for whatever use you may need.
