This is my personal Jura coffee machine. I purchased it new back in 2010 and it replaced a Jura F9. This is a serious machine. I was surprised how much better it is over the F9. It holds a lot of water 96 oz. and it also holds a lot of spent coffee(20 shots) It is also quieter than the F series. What I hate about these machines is that the stainless steel insert that you stand your cups on gets scratched. So I went ahead and purchased the Chrome plated solid cast Zinc unit that comes with the Z6. It looks great on the Z5 and fits perfectly. I usually have a paper napkin on top to protect the finish. I also use the regular stainless steel plate when I am not concerned. This is a great machine. I sent it in to Jura to have it serviced about 4 to 5 months ago. They replaced the coffee grinder and the Brew unit. They also fine tuned everything. ... moreSo the machine is working perfectly. I used to use clearyl filters for the F9 and initially for the Z5. Then one day I realized how much money I spent in demineralizing the water. Every month it was $12 to $15. I decided to change to just using the machine's decalcifying program. You just set the water hardness based upon the litmus paper(one strip included) and then the machine program will advise when it is necessary to run the decalcifying process. So I set mine a bit more conservatively just to make sure it was protected. About every five months or so I will run that process. The cleaning process(box of 6 tablets included) runs more frequently and removes the fat deposits and generally cleans the machine. I rarely make other than coffee. So the other counts are lower. Specifically, Jura 166, 2 espresso 60, 1 coffee 2414, 2 coffee 3347, Cappuccino 1113, Special cup 11, milk 119, hot water 72, pre-ground 65, Decalcifying 13, Cleaning 38, and clearyl filter 9. This is a used Delonghi 3400 Magnifica Espresso machine up for auction. I have owned this machine for about 1.5 years. This unit has all parts(no original box or paperwork) and everything works well- the grinder is great and the espresso shots are a good color. This machine has two things that you will want to know about. 1. It does show wear signs here and there(no chips or dents. Etc) the noticeable wear is on the metal drip tray- it has scuffs and scratches from coffee cups. 2. While the machine works well I have noticed extra coffee grinds in the inside of the machine(outside of the cup that catches the throw away grinds) I am not sure why this is the case but I have only been aware of this for the last 3-4 months- It doesnt affect the use of the machine but it does make for a little extra clean up when you have to empty the grinds container ... moreis all.

Here is the story on this machine: I bought this machine for a church cafe here in Memphis TN. It was originally in a coffee shop in Colorado. It broke down and my dad bought it and paid someone in Colorado to fix it. It was fixed and in working condition. I bought it from my dad and had it brought to memphis. I got it plugged in and it pulled 5 shots before it started acting funny. It works intermittenly. There is no one in memphis that is privy to this machine(or really any super automatics) that I care to hire to work on this machine. We dont sell enough coffee to justify the repair of the machine so we will just stick with our small espresso machine that we use now. I am posting this as"not working or for parts" because even though it works from time to time I don't consider it to be in good working order. This Jura Capresso C1000 machine was working perfectly until it gave birth to an o-ring the other day. The main brew-group OD o-ring broke and ended up in the waste tray. I took off the side panel that only requires the removal of two screws to look inside. I quickly determined I was above my pay grade. I do not have the technical skills or know-how to delve into a machine like this. I suspect if you are a tinkerer it won't be a big deal but not for me! Selling AS-IS. Machine is working but not 100% I replaced infuser recently for one problem. Which rectified that issue. It has another known issue: brewing short as in not a full cup. It does brew. And I was using it daily. For the cup I get, it seems weak. If I were brewing a shot of espresso only, it would be fine. But, if I want a taller cup, it justcseems too watered down. Grinding appears fine. Cup warmer seems steamy or too hot. Not sure what the metal part under that is. But I'm guessing is the boiler. I think that is failing.or on its way out; and that's what I think the problem is. Steamer or frother works great. Appears to make a water mess at times; not certain if that's because I often let tray get very full or if there's something leaking. But. Water does not seem to be depleting from tank. Look good.
