Description: This is a great example of a vintage Elektra T1. It was originally manufactured in 1994 but we have gone through and rebuilt it from the ground up. We stripped this down to the frame. Descaled and rebuilt every component. All worn parts have been replaced- gaskets. O-rings, seals, safety valves, etc. Additionally, a new rotary pump, pressure gauge, and steam wand have been installed. The internal frame was sanded down and powder coated black. The stainless steel panels have been re-polished to bring back their mirror finish. After rebuilding. We test every aspect of the machine to ensure full functionality prior to the sale. Requires dedicated water supply and drain. This 1981 Gaggia was purchased and used as a display piece for over 30 years. When we recovered it. We inspected the boiler and found that it was spotless. Not a trace of dirt or scale inside. After sitting for 30+ years. Some parts had stopped functioning. To get the machine operating again. We installed a new pressure-stat, autofill solenoid, and pump. Everything else on the unit is original. We tested the machine on and off for a week and it operated flawlessly. The brass and copper cladding on this machine has developed a nice patina over the years. It does have some dings ... moreand scratches here and there from being moved around. Overall it is in very nice shape for a machine of this age. The dome on top is crowned with an eagle that alone weighs a few pounds. The cladding has a hammered copper finish. Both the boiler pressure gauge and the brew pressure gauge function perfectly. They read the exact pressures in the boiler and on the brewing side. We used this in the shop for a week to test and we found that it produces espresso that's on par with machines being sold today. It has a 3.5 liter boiler and a decent-sized heat exchanger. Which means that it has 3 heads for brewing espresso, as well as the head for steaming dairy. This is a commercial machine intended for high volume use. This machine is still in daily use and works perfectly, but can be replaced within a week. Come see it in action!
