Two old serving pieces- one for coffee and one for tea. I acquired these together. The coffee server is probably silver-plated. It is marked M&S along with other symbols including a beaver. see picture) My research suggests this was made by Joshua Maxfield& Sons of Sheffield England. Perhaps in the 1800s. There is a small dent on the side. It is tarnished(not yet polished) The tea server has a triangle around"N Ltd" or something similar. The letters EPNS and a few other markings(see picture) EPNS suggests it is silver-plated- specifically electroplated nickel silver. International Silver silverplate coffee pot server paw feet hinged lid, no mono
Offered is this lovely silver plated coffee pot or coffee server made by International Silver. Probably in the first half of the 20th century. The coffee server has a slightly bulbous shape and rests on four paw feet. Acanthus leaves appear on the top of the handle and the spout. The hinged lid works smoothly. The silverplate coffee pot stands about 10.5 inches high(26.8 cm) It will hold about 48 ounces. Excellent condition. No monograms. Questions welcomed. Thanks for looking.

Antique Meriden Silverplate Coffee Pot Server Roman Medallion Crown Top
Here is striking antique silverplate footed coffeepot. I cant' see any maker's marks. But have been told it was made by the Meriden Silver Co. It stands abougt 12" to the top of the knob on lid. It has a bearded warrior on the handle, and other soliders on the crown/castle top points near the lid. It has an ornate engraved monogram frame on the front and a monogram that I can't quite make out. The handle area has two glass or marble like disc to prevent the handle from getting hot to the touch. The lid hinge may have been repaired. There is a line of possible silverplate wear on the foot, that may have been caused by a drip that was never cleaned off. Overall it looks to be in quite good condition for it's age. If you have ever seen the Adams Family you will have some idea as to what we were greeted with! Then the attorney handling the liquidation gave us some background. The home had belonged to an alleged powerful Voodoo Priestess/JooJoo Exorcist. A grand daughter of a Marie Laveau, favored daughter of a Marie Glapion. This did not have much impact on us other than to cause an uneasy feeling when in the house& we declined to spend the night while ... moreinventorying. Our research has shown that this woman was what she claimed& was indeed descended from a long line of well known Voodoo family originating in New Orleans in the early 1800's. We were pretty unnerved by this until we discovered they were also devout Catholics! There was no feeling of dread or unwelcome in the home. However there was quite a bit of contraband& other items we can not or will not sell here. Vintage Beautiful Silver Plated Tilting Coffee Server--Elegant & Regal
This exquisite vintage silver plated tilting coffee server is elegant and regal looking-a true find and a piece not to pass up it is 17 1/2" high-the base of the tilter is 8"round-the side pieces are sturdy and the design is beautifully worked with sheaf. Flowers and leaves and an inverted heart design at the bottom the pot is 9" without the lid-and is approximately 10" from pouring lip to the tip of the handle it tilts easily when pouring and because it is silver it retains the heat well-it also has a wonderful etched pattern on the pot that complements the stand the silver is in very good condition and it cleans up beautifully- I cannot find any markings on it-it weighs almost 6 lbs.it is at least 75 years old-I would guess older because of the person I received it from the only problem is that the bottom edge of the ... morepot has a dent on the side as pictured-it has no bearing on it's use or beauty. I think it could be fixed if you wished to have it done-I used it this way!

The brass plated legs handles. And brass plated piece on top of lid has some small scratches and spots. I think the spots can be cleaned with a brass cleaner. Also the top of stand has light scuffs as you could see in pictures. These scuffs are normal because the coffee urn goes on top of the stand so basically when the coffe urn is put on top of the stand they are not visible.

Here is a really beautiful vintage Emile Viner sterling silver coffee pot. It's been kept in wonderful condition all these years and weighs 22.6 troy ounces and measures 8" tall and 9" from handle to spout tip, it's very big and impressive looking. It's hallmarked on the side with E.V, a crown(for Sheffield, England) a lion(for sterling silver) and a capitol R( for the year made, 1959) The black wood handle is in great condition and the finial is too! There is a lion stamp on the inside of the lid and a capital G with a number 6 stamped on the brush finished bottom of the pot. Antique Art Nouveau High Tea Tilt Server These were in Vogue in well To Do homes in the late 1800's. Early 1900's Quadruple plated silver. The lining inside the pot is white porcelain Very Ornate decorations on the pot. Spout, handle, etc. Monogram in the center front. But; done so fancy that you can't make out the 2 initials Two pieces. The entire server measures 19 1/2" tall, pot alone measures 13" tall& 11" wide at the spout. The burner on the bottom measures 8" across The pot does hang straight on the stand. The pic of the front of the pot looks crooked only in the picture. The pot has a dent at the bottom(see pictures) This was caused because someone used the pot not the correct way, and the pot slung against the stand. As you can view in the pics. the pot hangs from the stand on the side. The burner ... moreunder the pot appears to have been warped. I have not tried to polish. Or straighten anything out, prefer to sell items as found. The pot has 2 other small dents not including the one shown at the bottom of the pot. Which is much larger than the other two. Pot incised: Eureka Silver Co Quadruple Plate 182 As you might guess. This entire Tilt Pot is quite heavy, the weight before packing is 5 1/2 lbs. So there is a lot of silver here. Even with the flaws mentioned above. This is a very Elegant& Unique piece of Art Nouveau, love the lip of the spout. Not able to download enough pictures to show the elaborate art work on this piece. It measures 12" high by 10 1/2" wide by 7 1/4" deep. It is monogrammed under the spout with"Mrs. F.M. Carr" This is a highly decorated piece. A squirrel finial sits at the top of a lid. Both sides of the pot have a 3 dimensional side silhouette image of a Roman-like warrior with a helmet on. There is a strainer inside the pot where the pourer is. There are no makers marks on the bottom of this piece. There are some small dents along the top rim of the coffee pot. The silver plate has started to peel off a little bit on both sides of the bottom rim. There is a dent on one side right under the Roman silhouette. The other side has a dent above the decoration. The ... moreunder side of the pot has a dent coming out of the bottom. This cannot be felt on the inside of the pot. Maybe it came about when the pot was made. This listing is for an Antique. Victorian, handmade tilting coffee pot server/pitcher. Research shows it to be from around circa 1890-ish. It is nice heavy piece made of quadruple plated silver. Servants would carry these or they could be left on the stand for serve yourself. The piece does show some age. Which only gave it more character to us, you be the judge, the tarnish is nicely shadowed on the humble yet ornate handmade piece. In the interest of full disclosure: there is a small bend in the front and another even smaller dent on the lid. Also, someone drilled a hole in the bottom of the pot to better serve whatever purpose they had it for(perhaps for drainage as a planter) Both of the above mentioned points were present already when we purchased it June 10, 2000(over 13 years ago) We paid $257.25 for the item at the Antique Market ... moreof Michigan City. I need not polish the inside of the coffee pot because I was not sure if it would poison someone if they used it. I did wipe it out and it appears to be in fine condition on the inside.
