This large silverplate coffee urn is beautiful. I filled it up and it held 16 cups. This weighs about 8 pounds and measures about 19" to finial on top of lid and about 15" high to the rim. This would be great for serving hot or cold beverages and has a removable cup to hold a Sterno burner in the base. The coffee stays hot longer if you fill it with hot water first. Stands over a foot tall and 6 inches wide at the"bulb" The top stopper and all the brass is intact and the brass stand with candle in it is all original. The manufacturer is the Kenilworth Co. I've gota very decorative antique 1800's Coffee or Tea Pot/server for sale. As you can see from the pics it is heavily etched with many different designs and in great condition. The date etched on it is 1880. On the bottom it says"MFD& Plated by Reed& Barton" On the side. As you can see in the photos, the etching reads something like this"Many Happy days Mrs CB Reese from Citizen& Hose, August 26th 1880" The Citizen and Hose part I'm not real sure about. The etching is clear, but those script letters are hard to read. No real dents or dings that I can find, minus one little one on the lid. The only fault is the little decorative piece off the lid has broken off. I believe this could be an easy repair for someone who knows what they're doing. With a little polish, this thing will be awesome. ... moreI believe the handle on the spigot to be made from that part of the elephant that you can't sell any longer. There are no dings. Dents, monograms, pitting, plate loss, or repairs. One of the handles on the edge has two very small bumps, in my opinion they are insignificant but mentioned for accuracy. The inside looks clean, one of the handles has a ever so slight wiggle to it and the ivory colored(which I believe is plastic) knob is pictured so you can see the condition yourself.
