Easiest to service and least too need service Grinders available and I should know, I service and clean many different types of these grinders. I see them all and just shake my head at what I see when I open up many of these. These Curtis Models can be easily serviced and kept clean and operating by anyway with a couple of screw drivers. Plugged it in turned it on and whole beans went in and ground coffee came out. We then Cleaned the Grinder including the Hopper, Doser as well as the Burr Cavity. We touched up small nicks and buffed some scuffs out of the finish. Overall would say this machine is above normal used condition considering what we have seen before. It runs perfectly and is surprisingly quite. Burr adjuster has been cleaned and moves as it should. Hopper lid appears it has a small part of the overhang lip missing. It doesn't hurt the operation of the machine and the lid sits on top of the Hopper with no problems. As stated we did clean the Burr Cavity.
