The unit has served us well for 8 years. But is showing some signs of aging. We've religiously descaled it with Durgol when it prompts for DeScaling. It is functional. But has two issues that prompted us to move on and get a new one, and sell this one for parts or for repair(we just didn't want the hassle of dealing with the repair process) Powers up. Heats up, and functions just like new, EXCEPT: Something may be wrong in the grinding process. We aren't sure. But we think there might be something like plastic grit left in the bottom of our cups where you'd expect just a hint of residue of ground coffee. Turning the steam off, and back on generates another message, and if you fiddle back and forth, it may work again. Machine is working but not 100% I replaced infuser recently for one problem. Which rectified that issue. It has another known issue: brewing short as in not a full cup. It does brew. And I was using it daily. For the cup I get, it seems weak. If I were brewing a shot of espresso only, it would be fine. But, if I want a taller cup, it justcseems too watered down. Grinding appears fine. Cup warmer seems steamy or too hot. Not sure what the metal part under that is. But I'm guessing is the boiler. This is for one. Used Jura Impressa E50 automatic espresso/coffee machine. This machine is in very good used condition. It has some signs of wear, some marks, some scuffs. This machine has one grinder, and can make drinks somewhere in the 1 oz to 6 oz range. You can make singles or doubles. I found this machine in December, and took it all apart, expecting it to be pretty dirty, and forgotten. It wasn't, it was in really good condition. Looks like it was either not used much for years and years, or it was serviced by someone who knew how to keep the inside looking good. Either way, it's been my daily coffee since mid Dec. Doesn't make great espresso, but it does do a regular cup of coffee pretty good. I'll try to track down the instruction manual, and include copy, or a link to a copy. I haven't had any problems with it ... morein months of use. I don't use the steam. But it does work. Not great, but it will steam up some milk. A bit of a rinsing process to go from steam back to brew. Overall this is a solid, Swiss automatic coffee machine.
