There is another series of dates beneath it it looks like that one is possibly 1884. On top of the name of the company begins with a CH. not sure what the rest is. somewhere in the end of it it says"r u" the rest is partially visible. difficult to make out. Vintage Large Antique Logging Crosscut Saw 1 or 2 Man Very Sharp 48 Inches long
This is a very nice. And Very Sharp and I mean very sharp, vintage crosscut saw. Please see all photos, there are several. Someone put a nice black protectorant on it to preserve it, and it is working. There is a crack in the main handle and some isssues with the 2nd handle, but this is still a working saw. I don't know how long it will last, but it can be used right now. It is 48 inches end to end and 6 1/3 inches wide at its widest point. I have to sell this saw"as is" due to its age. I don't know what the company is. Mabye a Diston, but not sure. Please understand how I am going to do the shipping on this if you should choose to buy it. EXCELLENT- Postcard will have no stains or bends. Card may have a trace of wear around the edges, and corners may show minor bumps and have light discoloration from album storage. Writing on front is acceptable on rppcs only if it is concise and enhances documentation. May be postmarked. FINE- Corner tips may be lightly rounded or very slightly creased. Bachmann G gauge Shay logging locomotive,1:20.3 scale, battery powered
This is a Bachmann Shay locomotive. Battery- powered(12 nickel metal-hydride batteries in tender) and radio-controlled(NCE G Wire CAB) It can also run off of track power. It is the 38-ton model(the one with metal, not plastic, gears) I bought it new four years ago, and had the batteries and QSI decoder(for sounds and engine control) professionally installed. I have customized the engine and tender with numerous pieces of equipment, and weathered them with acrylic paints and Bragdon Weathering Powders. The engine has recently been oiled and lubricated, and I do not believe it has more than ten or twelve hours of operation over the past four years. I ran it on a 4% grade, and would get appx. 45 minutes of run time per charge, depending on the load I was hauling. I just ran it, unloaded, for over an hour and a half, while cleaning the drive ... morewheels. The smoke unit does not work. The original burned out after only a couple of hours' use, and I replaced it; but that one soon burned out also( I do not think they are known for their longevity) One hinge to the smokebox broke(probably when I replaced the smoke unit) but I put a wire in the hinge, and it stays closed nicely. The firebox light does not work(I don't believe it ever did) The headlight and the back-up light work, but the back-up light now stays on whenever the engine runs. I had to perform major surgery on the engineer and the fireman, to get them to fit. They, as well as all the items pictured in the photos, are included. I will pack it in its original box, inside another. The transmitter and the battery recharger(a Pinnacle E-flite Peak Prediction Charger, model EFLC2020)will be packed separately. I accept Pay Pal, and will ship via USPS standard rate.
