Vintage Antique Amprobe Voltmeter Amp Meter Tester Clamp On Tool W/case
This sale is for an old Amprobe amp. Ohm and voltage tester that I found in an old storage shed. It has 3 volt settings and 5 amp settings. Comes with both leads and carry case. The leather carry case has the flip top missing and is weathered. This multimeter tool looks to have seen a lot of use however there are no cracks and all the different scales look nice. The needle indicator is attached and sensitive to movement. I have not tested to see if it works but I think it will. I don't know how to use it and don't want to mess it up if does work. These might be working. We don't have the knowledge or equipment to ensure they are working properly and there is some physical damage to one. So we're listing them as"parts or repair" Auction includes everything shown in the photos and only what's shown in the photos. We put a new battery in the FS-3 and were able to confirm that the resistance measurement is working. The RS-3 uses a powered probe for resistance which we don't have so we could not test anything of it. The FS-3 is the one with the physical damage. One of the photos shows how the back is snapped it two. They fit together nicely so it can be glued or taped. Other than what's above. Everything else appears good. Vintage AMPROBE Clamp-On Voltage Current Tester Presenting for auction is a vintage AMPROBE RS-3 Ultra Clamp-On Voltage Current Tester. I believe the tester was produced in 1978 base on the included warranty card. This is an analog rotary scale clamp-on voltage and current tester and is in good condition. It primary test functions include: Current Test· Voltage Test The tester includes two test leads(black and red) and an ohmmeter battery/fuse attachment. This attachment requires an AAA battery and is included. I’m also including a copy of the operating instructions. I believe it is in working order but I do not have a way of testing it thoroughly. I am able to perform a zero adjustment on the scale plus get a current reading. I do not have a means of performing a thorough accuracy test though. This tester was used by my father who was ... morean electrician. In addition to the tester and test leads a leather case is included. The case is well used but it certainly protected the tester. One other thing I will point out is the two plastic screws holding the case halves together were broken. I was able to replace the screws with two white nylon ones. I had to bore one of the screws out and drilled through the front cover just below the letter“E” of AMPROBE. There is no risk of contamination since the replacement screw fill/seals the hole. I'm not sure if this works or not. So please don't risk your like unless you know what the hell you are doing! When I test my 120 house circuit, it reads correctly using the 600 V scale. It doesn't read correctly on the other volt scales. There are a few cosmetic marks you can see in the photos. There is a tiny crack in the lens. You are bidding on an early Ampprobe voltmeter ammeter tester with a rotary scale. Model RS-1. Looks to be in usable condition but the voltage probes are missing. The case is dirty but no cracks are visible. The needle on the meter seems to be intact but I have not tested this unit. Made in USA. There is a case but it's not in real good condition.
