Up for bid is this clamp on type amp meter made by Amprobe. This is Amprobes model RS-1000 I believe. This meter is in Good condition with some wear from normal usage on the probes themselves and the back of the unit. Nothing is broken or cracked. Meter scale face is clear, everything seems to function ok but I have not tested this as I have no way to do so. I will guarantee it to work as I think these meters are pretty fool proof and will refund the purchase price if it doesn't work as designed and it is shipped back. You are bidding on an Amprobe AC True RMS Watt Clamp Meter. It is is like-new condition and comes with the unit. Leads, and protective caps for the leads. Please see full specifications below. Also, the manual for the unit is available on Amprobe's website at this clickable link(opens in a new tab or window) I purchased this a few years back from a distributor that was closing its doors. It was a display unit. I thought I might have a need for it but the need never materialized. So I never used it and it has remained in my house the entire time. I am retired now and have no foreseeable need for this. I just tested this as best I could at my house and photographed the results. I used the“Hold” function on the unit to hold the readings while I took the pictures. I tested the AC outlet voltage in one location ... moreand the current in a large window AC where I was able to open the outlet box on so I could read one wire at a time. This unit retailed for around $1400. I see one vendor on the web has it as listing for $1403.68 and marked down to $935.75. So here is a chance to pick one up in like-new condition for about ½ the sale price. Please note that some or all pictures may be taken without a flash so as to not wash out the detail but it does mean that the image is often somewhat darker than the item actually appears. We tested its volts and amp functions with 120VAC and 3 amps and unit was accurate. It has an old-school leather case that holds items securely.
