Hickok CB Service Center This display was used to sell Hickok CB test equipment. The pieces were never used in a service or production setting. One piece is missing. I think it was removed and sold but I don't know what it would have been. I have no way to test these items. They are stamped"demonstrator" on the back. But I believe they were completely functional units. They have not had power supplied for a very long time but I did plug them in and got them all to light up except the multimeter. The multimeter did nothing. One knob is missing on the multimeter and another one is cracked on the RF Generator but they are simple push-on knobs and should be easy to find. The switch on the Semiconductor tester does not feel right. I'm not sure how it is supposed to work. It does not have a power light to show that it is on. But ... morewhen you place it in the middle position the top and bottom(Good/Bad) lights flicker. When it is moved to the up(off) position it goes off. The rack includes: Model 217 Semiconductor Tester. Model 244 Mobil/Comm Power Supply. Model 256 CB/RF Signal Generator. Model 270 Function Generator. Model 334 Digital Multimeter. Here is a great vintage Signal Corp model I-177-B tube tester. As you can see from the pics. Overall great condition for the age. The only real disappointment if that the reference book is missing. The outside case does need a good and proper cleaning. There are several scuff and slight scratches, a few very small spot of paint chips. Nothing all that serious. One of the little cable to one of the clips does have a bare spot on it where the wire is exposed. I did plug it in and got no response. Maybe because I did not have a tube to test? Tested the Voltmeter with a 9 Volt and it works. Did not test the ohmmeter function as the unit needs a battery. Some paint worn off/scratches/dirty spots, but in decent overall condition. Very slight corrosion around the edges of the bottom faceplate screws. Two wires with bare ends that come out of the faceplate and fit inside the cover, I do not know their function. U.S. Army Signal Corps Dynamic Mutual Conductance Tube Tester Here is a great vintage tube tester for checking out those old tubes. Made for the U.S. Army Signal Corp by the Daven Corp. Model I-177-B made in the 1950's. Serial Number 1511. I don't know a thing about this tester. My brother was a big collector of military items and this was in his collection. It looks to be in good condition. Not all beaten up. Can't say if it works or not. It has the original w prong power wire plug still intact. The Department of the Army Technical Bulletin TB 11-2627-2 is still in place and in good condition. The case.It is in, looks to be factory painted"Navy Gray" over"Army Olive Drab" that can be seen through a few scratchs on the case. It is that color inside and out. 100% sure done as a factory color change as it's ... moreso well done. So probably was used in the Navy vs in an Army field position, if used at all. There is a data/ serial# plackard on the front of the case by the handle. Hard to read as it' has a light coat of gray paint over it. Since I don't know how to use it or have a tube to test. Not Working I-177 1945 Military Tube Tester. Turned it on and no meter reading for any tube I try to test. I just do not have the time to mess with it right now so I am selling it as-is. The fuse lamp glows dimly when the line adjust it turned up. Please look at all my photographs for the condition. Mounting screws from chassis to case were missing. Received it from an old time radio guy but that's about all I know about it. Chassis looks to be all original except the line cord may have been replaced some time ago. He found it near the town of Lake George. It is big and heavy. Is made of iron and weighs 10 1/4 lbs, It is 6 1/2" tall 3 1/2" across the base and 2 1/4" across the top.
