One for a petri plate approximately 3.5" in diameter and one for a plate containing an array of sample tubes to be inoculated onto it. Over the sample array is a set of matching rods on a tray that raises and lowers to transfer sample dots. On the front of the unit is an on/off button and indicator light; the mechanism is triggered by pressing on the Petri dish holder. A plexiglass cover is included. Two sample tube holder plates are included; one with 28 wells and one with 29 wells, and each plate has a corresponding overhead rod holder. Those are banana plug/ binding post connectors on the ends of the two aluminum arms on the outside of the aluminum chamber. Inside. There are two circular plates facing each other. Each circular plate has a rectangular plate with rounded ends attached to it by means of a set screw. All non-ferrous metals. The gap between the rectangular plates seems to be about 3 mm. There are water run lines behind the plastic covering the screen that can be seen once the screen is powered on. There is also a vertical bubble mark in the center of the screen. The machine powers on, but an error message comes up on the screen immediately. The message says: 000D0024 Origin: Door Shut off sequence has not been replaced" The door does feel jammed. I pushed the check button and the screen changed to the main screen. After this, the screen does not work properly. Only certain portions of the touchscreen respond to being touched.
