I've always had a soft spot for these old industrial catalogs and this is one of the finest I've ever come across. Hard bound in a textured. Deep blue cover with bright orange raised letters, this 1000 page beauty showcases just about everything that was on the market for laboratory work in the early post-war era. No telling what it would cost today to produce a catalog like this but then we don't do things like we used to and that's why people love antiques. It is in excellent condition with a strong spine and very little visible wear. It was put out by A.J. Griner Company of Kansas City. Missouri. There are no torn or missing pages, water damage, sun damage, etc. It is stamped"K-51" right above the word"Laboratory" and it copyrighted 1950. The only flaw might be George R. Lewey's business card(Griner's ... moresales manager) glued to the title page but I think that actually adds to this piece. The artwork is fantastic. With wonderful line drawings for the simpler pieces and black and white photography to illustrate some of the larger and more complex gizmos and the artwork goes on and on for 990 pages.
