The main beams are still complete but the smaller floor joists under where the wheels of the cargo would roll are full of holes. If the trailer were mine, I would add an additional joist in between the rotted ones and use the trailer for lighter loads, maybe 1/2 its original rating, so no more than 20,000 pounds. Or cut it up for parts. The tires. Rims and axles look great. This could also function as a heavy ramp for forklifts or trucks. A portable loading dock, or even a bridge. 2000 20 Ton Heavy Duty Air Brake Trailer
Up for sale is a 2000 Brooks Brothers 20 ton(40.000lbs) air brake trailer. The specs on the trailer 102in wide with 25ft of deck with a 5ft beaver tail. It has ABS and oil bath hubs two 20.000lbs Dexter Axles tire size is 215/75r17.5 Trailer weighs 7800lbs, with the GVWR being 47,000lbs. This trailer was completely over hauled brakes went through new seals the whole deal on the axles. It was then completely sandblasted. Primed and painted. All new white oak deck was installed with all new fasteners and was stained and sealed on both sides before install. Then eight brand new(not recaps) tires were put on. All new LED light were installed and new ramps were made with new pins and bushings. This trailer is being sold at half the cost as a comparable new one. Clean and Clear Title in hand.
