Item for sale: Bellco 7765-06005 M- Carrier Multi 4-point Magnetic Stirrer with RPM display The company is also known as Bellco Glass Inc. Good working condition. The front speed control knob functions. The change in sound of the motor inside when rotating the knob in either direction indicates that the speed control does vary the speed. We do not have the equipment to verify the actual RPM range but we did test this unit(and others we are selling) using the very scientific method of filling a styrofoam cup with water. Dropping a paper clip in it, and then watching the paper clip revolve at different speeds depending on which direction, and how far, the speed control knob was rotated. Please see the photographs, most taken with the paper clip deliberately appearing blurred because it was rotating when the photograph was taken, and the flash(which ... morewould have frozen the image of the paper clip as if not moving) deliberately not used in such photos. See photo of bottom. Lab equipment in our experience is sometimes rusty or stained on the bottom. Showing it was not well taken care of and/or people were careless about cleaning it in the event of a spill. The bottom of this item by contrast is in good condition, though it does look like some paint markings are on it(not scraped off paint, but white markings on top of the dark base color) Here is positive feedback we received on selling a similar item.
