The badge is engraved brass in good shape, especially the paint; however, there is some bending on the right side of the badge and some fairly major scratches and paint wear. First let me say that this hat is very old and in very bad shape. However. I can still call it a hat and so I am hoping someone might need this for a collection before I do anything drastic. The hat is an early Kimball safety hat that is blue with white trim. The white trim is frayed most of the way around. There is a BB size hole on the top.
