This is a 520 Kw. 480 volt electric boiler/water heater and comes with an 800 amp fused disconnect panel.The boiler was placed in service in September 2007 and was removed from service in April 2013. The boiler was used as a supplemental source for steam in a dry cleaning plant to take advantage of lower electrical energy costs when natural gas prices peaked making gas fired boilers more costly to operate. The boiler has not had any operational issues and the only maintenance involved replacing fuses which fail under normal use. This is a very dependable machine and can be used effectively as a water heater as well. The boiler can achieve operational steam pressure of 150PSI in less than 20 minutes from a cold start. Furnace for wax burnout or ceramic firing
This is a wax burn out furnace I built when I was doing lost wax bronze casting. It hasn't been run since 1995. The door opens and center pivots to turn the hot side away from you to make it easier to remove hot molds. The walls are lightweight firebrick backed by a layer of mineral insulation. I used to fire it to 1800 degrees to melt out wax but you could go a lot higher. It could be used for ceramics. It is an up draft but could be converted to downdraft without much effort. Also shown is the burner. This furnace is heavy but I built it so can be taken apart by unbolting the steel framework. Some bricks have fallen out from moving. I have some spares. They are not glued in but held by stainless steel pins so it is easy to repair. The heavy door rolls on a wheel. Ceiling, floor and doors(450USD) coolbot system(300USD) GE 10000 btu air conditioner(280 USD) washable garage flooring(100 USD) extra tire with hanging system, 4 total electrical plugs and locks for door and neck. The trailer is in very good conditions except for a small bump in the front silver plating as shown in picture. It has been used for a season on a small organic farm as a cheap(repairs and electricity consumption) and very spacious walk in cooler.
