This is a 520 Kw. 480 volt electric boiler/water heater and comes with an 800 amp fused disconnect panel.The boiler was placed in service in September 2007 and was removed from service in April 2013. The boiler was used as a supplemental source for steam in a dry cleaning plant to take advantage of lower electrical energy costs when natural gas prices peaked making gas fired boilers more costly to operate. The boiler has not had any operational issues and the only maintenance involved replacing fuses which fail under normal use. This is a very dependable machine and can be used effectively as a water heater as well. The boiler can achieve operational steam pressure of 150PSI in less than 20 minutes from a cold start.
