Machine has 3547 hours on it and has 28 rods. Up until it was parked it was a daily machine. I have no reason to think it could not go out and go to work immediatly. Everything pictured is included in this package(machine. Trailer, tank, tooling and locator) The locator pictured is a radiodetection. I have no working knowledge of it, we used Digtrak. I put batteries in it and a sonde for the picture. It powers up and appears to pick up the sonde. It came with this machine when I bought it and I am selling it the same way. Spot D Tek 3 locator. Mole map remote with mapping software and instructions, standard range sonde, carry bag. The Spot 3 has a much upgraded system than the Spot 2, it uses an arrow system as seen in one photo, that allows you to locate front or rear points by moving in the arrow direction until locked in. It also has the bar graph option to locate by the strength of signal, but the arrows are much faster and precise. Depth is found by depressing the depth button. This locator also has line locating capability with an additional transmitter, but as a driller myself I never needed that option, the locates are typically performed with 811 one call. I used this system and am torn between selling it! It is a dead on locate system, very easy to learn and operate. I have consistently hit my target within an inch time and time again, you will be ... morevery satisfied. I have 2 more sondes, one is long range(50 ft) that will be listed in a separate auction. The mole map has the ability to store the bore and download onto your computer, or view your bore in progress. This feature is becoming more of a necessity as cities and companies are requiring an as built plotted map before the driller gets paid! I ran into this on some railroad drills, and nearly every creek drill for several telecommunication companies! This is a fully functional locate system, ready to use except that I borrowed an antenna off remote and cannot find it. Radio Shack carries them for a nominal fee and if I get to town(40 miles! before auction ends I will pick one up for you. All of the components have use, and being an older unit it does not look new, BUT it is the bulletproof Spot D Tek at a fraction of the cost for units that perform the same. This machine was bought new in 1997 and barely used. It has 28 hours showing on the power pac hour meter. It is a one owner and is fully functional. The owner had been a plumber for many years and bought this machine to do reroutes. He got sick just after buying the machine and held on to it thinking he would get better and get back to work. That never happened. He has been in and out of the hospital and developed some other problems that kept him from doing anymore plumbing. The machine has been sitting in his back yard. Unused since 1997. Everything works good. The pump fires right up and the ram runs in and out as it should. It comes with 200ft(100ft pressure and 100ft return) of hydraulic hose so you can park the trailer and pump on the street and wheel the trolley and ram to the work site. It comes with 4 bells and about 80ft of rod ... moreand one pull bar. It does not come with a directional boring tip but that can be bought at the ditch witch dealer. All the parts to this machine are still available and easy to acquire should you need anything. Trailer is not very nice after sitting in the grass for 16 years. I have started to repair it. I have put new fenders on it and am in the process of putting lights on it. Trailer has brakes but do not know if they work as they have not been hooked up to a truck that has a brake controller. I believe the trailer will easily last another five years if you don't do anything to it. If you work on it a little I think you could double that easily. It doesn't really matter because the trailer is free. You can do with it what you want. What you are buying here is the equipment. I do have a tag and title for the trailer. Tires tread is like brand new, of course, since it did not see much of the road but do have some dry rot where they were sitting in one place in the grass for 16 years. They are an 8 or 10 ply tire, though, so I would not be afraid to use them for the next 5 years.

Rock Bit for Vermeer 24x40 Railhead or Radius Rock Drill Bit Directional Drill
This is a Radius Rock Bit. Its comparable to Railhead however you can call radius and re-order the teeth directly. You can not do this with Railhead& they will require you to work through Railhead Dealers and so they cost more because of the retail mark up. I originally paid $6.000 for this bit last summer 2012. I used it on my Vermeer 24x40 on two bores near San Saba Texas. I have retired from Directional Drilling and this bit has been sitting in my barn for the last 8 months.
