Up for auction is a Tek TDS540C 4 channel 500MHz oscilloscope with Instaview. This unit is loaded with options. Including: 13- Serial/parallel option. 1F- Floppy drive. HD- Hard drive 2M- Extra deep memory- up to 8M acquisition length. 2F- Advanced DSP math. This unit works great on all channels. Triggering works on all channels. Display is nice and bright, with no burn marks. SPC passes every time, error log is clean. The floppy drive works, I can save waveforms on the scope and read them using my laptop USB drive. The original hard drive was replaced with a Flash hard drive, so you have no worries about the hard drive giving up. There's a ton of storage on this unit! See the pictures of the hard drive file listing if you are interested. The NVRAM and RTC clock calendar have been socketed with gold machine pin sockets and replaced with ... morenewer parts, so no worries about having issues with the batteries dying anytime soon. Since the parts are now socketed, replacement will be a snap in the future. Everything works on this scope. And if you find an issue with this scope I will refund your money. I have included pictures showing all channels working with a 20Mhz sinewave. This is a beautiful piece of gear, the color equivalent of this scope would be the TDS754C. The unit is very clean, only some slight blemishes/scratches on the front bezel from normal usage. I cannot guarantee calibration, however, as it has been some time since it was last calibrated. I purchased this with a bad screen and installed a crt and driver pcb out of a tds 520. Passes selftest and everything seems to work properly. This is the first tds scope I've ever worked on and don't have a manual. Although I look at a comparable manual online. Passes selftest and I tried to compensate the probes I used and channel 2 is offset by a very slight amount. see the pictures of the traces.
