This is a JDSU/Acterna HST-3000C Cable/DSL Meter. These tools are normally used by data and telecom installers to test and troubleshoot data lines. This tester is in very good overall condition with light scuffs. Marks and wear from normal field usage. All buttons are in great shape with no wearing or fading. All connectors are perfectly straight and clean. Structurally it is perfect with no defects to report. There is some scuffing on the top right side of the unit as some engraving was sanded out. It powers on properly and starts up perfectly. Once started up; I was able to navigate through the various menus and screens with no issues. The display is in great shape with no dead pixels or lines; backlight is working perfectly. All buttons are working properly as well. I ran some quick tests and everything seems to be in perfect operating ... moreorder. Includes the HST-3000-BDCM-WB2 module on the back. The module is removable and you can install different modules based on the lines you are testing. The unit shows it was last calibrated in 2009. The unit comes with a lithium-ion battery and charger. This is the new style battery/charger combo. Not the old style that was discontinued. Beware of units that have the old-style battery as they don't make chargers for them anymore, you can easily tell an old style battery as it has a 14-pin rectangle connector on the bottom of the battery, the newer style has the barrel-jack adapter with 2 LED's for charge status. The battery included is used, there are no guarantees on battery life or longevity. During my testing the battery charged to full capacity and was able to operate the meter on battery power alone.
