Receiver, alligator clips, and case. This unit was last cleaned and calibrated December 2012. This unit was recently retired from the field, and has been kept in excellent working condition. This unit does show some wear, as it has been well used. The case is missing an exterior clip to help close it, but case will stay closed with the one working clip. The Metrotech Model 810 Radio Frequency Line Tracer is an excellent instrument for tracing water and gas distribution lines. Cables, inductive locating, and blind searching. The high frequency ... moresignal is able to jump insulators and rubber gaskets often found in water and gas distribution systems. Since the radio frequency travels easily through the soil. The 810 is an ideal instrument for inductive locating. The floodlight Quality of the RF signal will induce signal onto conductors 8-10 ft. on either side of the Transmitter making it an excellent instrument for blind searches. The 810 Transmitter generates a signal which is applied onto the pipe or cable(conductor) The signal travels along the conductor. Becoming weaker as it gets farther away from the Transmitter. The distance that the signal travels before it b ecomes too weak to be detected depends on the method of connection. The type of conductor surrounding soil, and depth of the conductor. Metrotech 810 Radio frequency line tracer.I purchased this along with a group of tools from the estate of someone who worked for"Public Service Electric& Gas Co. a large power company here in NJ. I don't know a great deal about these detectors but if your still reading you probably do.It was stored wit the batteries out so the inside is nice and clean. It comes with a 4820 clamp(which is the specific model recommended by Metrotech for this machine) It also includes direct connects and a ground rod in the original case. The case has some dings and dents and bent spots where the case comes together. It still holds all the equipment securely in their foam holders inside. Both these units have alkaline batteries and they have been checked to make sure they are in good shape. This unit has been thoroughly tested and cleaned by me and inspected. If you request it on purchase I can include the instruction manual.

It comes with a 4820 clamp(which is the specific model recommended by Metrotech for this machine) It also includes direct connects and a flat ground rod and a clamp. The clamp and direct connects do not look like they have been used at all or very little. The case is in excellent shape. Both these units have new alkaline batteries and they have been checked to make sure they work well and measure depth and high output. Depth readings with direct connects. Clamp and inducing all within tolerance. You will be hard pressed to find a set in better shape for the price.
