Vintage Simonsen Tackle Box with Old Lures and Extras ~ Aluminum Four Tray
Up for auction is a vintage Simonsen Aluminum fishing tackle box. This box belonged to my grandfather. He bought it new at Harrisons Bait and Tackle in Midtown. Tn and he was so proud of it.until the latch broke on the first day. He got so mad that he didn't want it anymore and just gave it to me. I just used it for a few years but then it sat on a shelf in the garage for nearly 40 years. I cleaned the garage out over the weekend and decided to clean this thing up a bit and sell it. I put a new rivet on the latch(see in picture) It has a small hole and some rust in the bottom and a small dent on one corner. The cork in the trays are still pretty good considering the age of this thing. Everything works fine on it. The box is 14"x10"x8" I'm just leaving the old lures and poor boy tools with this. please see the pictures ... moreagain) All in all, this is still a pretty good tackle box and I would like to see somebody use it again. ITEM DESCRIPTION: Nice Vintage UMCO 205U Tackle Box PLUS UMCO P-9 Pocket Fishing Tackle Box This auction includes two(2) vintage tackle boxes from UMCO Coporation. Watertown, Minnesota. First is the model 205U. Which is well constructed with heavy guage plastic, and all of the metal parts are aluminum. Never have to worry about a rust problem. As you can see in the pictures, inside are 3 tiered trays with individual spaces for fitting all sorts of lures and other tackle. All of the trays are in very good shape- no worm burns, cracks or holes. The dimensions are approximately 12-1/2" wide x 6" height x 5-1/2" deep. The lower tray has a slight bend on left side, but does not have any effect on opening or closing operation of tray mechanism(See Picture) Latch and handle are still in tact and work well too! In very good condition! ... moreSecond is the smallest UMCO tackle box. Model P-9, which is made of aluminum with textured surface. This is a two-sided box, and is missing the plastic tray/divider, and has seen considerable use. VINTAGE METAL TACKLE / TOOL BOX 8033 UNUSUAL HANDLE ARMY GREEN STEAMPUNK STORAGE
VINTAGE FISHING TACKLE BOX WITH AN UNUSUAL HANDLE This tool box is"Army Green" with a brown h andle with a pattern pressed into it. The handle holders look like brass. I am not an expert so not sure. The lock closes very nicely. It sometimes sticks a little. But then I have lady hands. You are probably tougher than I am. There is a twelve inch measure along the front top of the box so you are sure you are over that seven inch limit. Or whatever it is. The hinges are good and move smoothly. Corners are good. Not all bent up. It looks like this might at one time have had a tray. As there are two places on the inside of the lid where a tray might have hung. On a n indention above the lock there are numbers. They are 8033. I didn't see these when I was taking the photos. This was an estate sale find. So I don't know how old ... morethis item is. Wow. Really nice 4 tray model 416, in fantastic shape. Rubber mat has been glued down to the bottom of tray, so there is glue residue on the bottom, doesn't stand out muich unless you put a flash on it.
