The tackle box belonged to my grandfather. You may think I have priced it with the sentiment attached. I probably did. We will see how it goes. The box has to be 80 + years old. I left some goodies in it. I think the neatest things are the cork bobbers in upper right that are probably over 100 years old. There is a bait caster repair kit with all the parts and an extra bakelite handle. A box of iodine swaps. Some plastic bobbers. A few metal hooks. A minnow net. If I missed anything I will let you know. The cork liner is still in the trays. Also. After I took the pictures I took it upstairs and the discoloration is dirt and oil. Tackle box is in overall good condition. There is a little rust around the latch and some on the hinges. A few small dings, but is in overall good shape. Inside looks great. Here is a vintage metal tackle box. The top of the box is marked QUALITY Liberty Steel Chest Corporation ROCHESTER. N.Y. No 1876 MADE IN U.S.A. The tackle box measures about 18 1/2" by 7 1/2" by 7" tall. This two metal trays on the inside; the top tray has 7-2 1/2" compartments and the 2nd tray has 2-2 1/2" compartments and one 12 1/4" This has a ring mounted to the front to rest your fishing rod in. The tackle box has a Loc-Wel safety catch. After the latch is unbuckled, you have to pull up on it to release the lid. Get this handle tacklebox! This is used. It has scratches. Paint loss and dings. There is a lot of paint loss, bubbling and rust to the bottom and the bottom of the backside. The inside trays have some paint loss and rust. There is a rust spot on the inside bottom. This large box is all metal construction and trays with dividers that are cork lined and is nice because the design has two hooks built into the handle so when you pick it up you are lifting a heavy box by both sides. Aqua Green in color and is in great shape, the outside looks good. Lock clasp works and there is a key. In used condition the inside is a little dirty there are some scratches and abrasions to the outside and the bottom is scuffed with some surface rust this is an old box that has seen some action I did notice a couple slight tweaks in sheet metal and the tray edges. J.C. Higgins Tackle Box Vintage Sears Roebuck and Co. Simpsons-Sears Ltd.
This is a vintage J.C. Higgins tackle box from Sears. It measures 19 x 5 x 8 and is made out of steel. It is in used condition. The hinge could use some oil and the rivets on the shelf are both kind of loose. All of this is minor as oiling the hinge is an easy fix. This would also make it open and close more smoothly. Which will preserve the rivets. The outside has some rust in a few spots but the box is still solid. It also contains(4) empty J.C. Higgins tackle packages that are made out of sturdy plastic and could be used to hold and sort tackle. This is great for any fisherman to use or to a collector of vintage sporting goods.

Up for auction is a Vintage UMCO Green Fibreglass 6 Tray Tackle Box. I cannot find any UMCO markings but I'am quite sure this is a Older Umco Fibreglass Tackle Box. This Tackle box is Not All Beat up. I see no Fibreglass breaks. All 6 trays have the plastic liners and cantalever out OK. Both of the end latches work fine. I hope the 10 pictures I uploaded of this vintage Kennedy tool box will speak for themselves. My husband wanted to keep it but he already has too many. He said it would be great for a machinist. Mechanic or someone that fishes. It does look to be a tackle box. It has been used as you will see in the pictures/photos but still looks to be in good, used, vintage condition. Some paint wear and places of wear on some of the trays that have the divided compartments. From side to side it measures approximately 17 1/4 inches side to side, approximately 10 1/4 inches top to bottom, excluding the handle, and approximately 8 1/4 inches front to back.
