Good condition vintage KENNEDY KITS Model 1118AL six tray tackle box. The made in USA aluminum tackle box measures 18 inche long by 12 inches tall and 10 inched front the back at the base. The condition is good with no breaks. Dents or holes but there is some loss of the paint/coating and soling in the individual tray compartments and some corrosion on the latches and handle hardware. The box comes with all the tackle shown in the photos. Vintage Kennedy Kits Metal Fish/Fishing Tackle Box, Model CS-16
This is about 16" long. 7" wide, and 7" high. It is pretty dirty, has some dents and wear. There is one tray inside. The lid closes but you need to press down on it because the front is a little bent and kind of catches. Could be an easy fix for someone who wants to take the time to do it. The left latch doesn't work as well as the right. But it seems to function okay as long as the other two latches are latched. Please look at the pictures and ask questions before bidding. I hope the 10 pictures I uploaded of this vintage Kennedy tool box will speak for themselves. My husband wanted to keep it but he already has too many. He said it would be great for a machinist. Mechanic or someone that fishes. It does look to be a tackle box. It has been used as you will see in the pictures/photos but still looks to be in good, used, vintage condition. Some paint wear and places of wear on some of the trays that have the divided compartments. From side to side it measures approximately 17 1/4 inches side to side, approximately 10 1/4 inches top to bottom, excluding the handle, and approximately 8 1/4 inches front to back. VERY RARE Vintage MASCOT Kennedy Kits CO 155 AL Aluminum 3 Tray Tackle Tool Box
I am very reluctant to sell this tackle box. I have 2 inherited tackle boxes from this time period. Full of old wooden lures. This box would be a perfect addition to store them in. but I cannot keep everything I like. This tackle box is in excellent condition. It has no dents or cracks. It is made of aluminum therefore light for it's size. This was the advertised benefits used in the 1950's ad campaigns. I am going to include some ads I found online. So the image quality is not the best but it shows the tackle box as it was advertised in 1959. This tackle box seems identical to the"Pelican" but this is the"Mascot" I believe the difference is the aluminum versus steel. But I am not an expert on anything. unless I am arguing with my wife. Then I am an expert on all things known to man. I put pictures of the 2 ads ... morehere in this ad for you to look at. I also had a free thinking moment, and wanted to see what $10(original cost) in 1959 would be in 2014. I was amazed that it was $80! I had to take a pic of that as well. So buying this box in 1959 for $10 was not a trivial expense. in my humble opinion. These tackle boxes came in 4 models. 2 and 3 tray models. In 15 and 19 inch widths. This is the 15 inch 3 tray model. The number in the lid is CO 155AL. You will see ads for the CO 155s, the AL added must be the aluminum build. another opinion of mine. 2 trays open back when the lid is opened and the top tray is manually opened back to expose the middle tray. The box has not dents. The inner trays are excellent, the plastic compartments are also excellent. While I had so much free time on my hands last night. I wondered what the"Kits" meant in the"Kennedy Kits" This was a tackle box, not for kits. Sooo, I began a 4 hour quest to find the answer. I found a forum where they discussed this topic. This is a vintage tackle box that measures 14 inches across. 6 inches deep and 6.5 inches tall. It has a metal handle which is still in good useable shape, Clasp in front is lockable and it comes with the key. works fine. good shape all around. But it is metal so shows some rust(no holes) and dents. Inside has removable tray. I believe it is all painted steel because a magnet sticks to it. Last pic shows the largest ding on top of box. It's still very useable.

This box has definitely been used. It has paint loss and dings and scratches. The aluminum drawers have some bent edges. But it still folds up easily. The latches closes easily. The top and bottom are a little offset. The handle is metal. There is no plastic on this vintage piece. The name"Kennedy" is above the latch. Inside the top, is another label.
