HUGE Vintage Tin 1940s-50s ‘RENK’ Figural Corn Seed Farm Sign 5’ tall Rare
Make an offer on this huge. Rare and very nice one-sided 3-color lithographed farm sign. Likely from somewhat after WW2, almost certainly American, probably hung on the side of a barn or on a pole to be seen from a highway. It’s in the shape of a kernel of corn as you can see, and made of thick tin. I have always found that signs in the shape of the thing they were selling are way more interesting than just a rectangle sign. It is enormous, at 5 feet tall from top to bottom, and a nose-hair short of 4 feet wide at its widest point. Slightly embossed around the edges. Notice the sunglasses in the pictures so you can see for yourself how huge this thing is. It is in remarkably good condition for something that’s probably 60 years old, although it does show some age and weathering in several places. Still, it displays really well and it’s always ... morebeen a great conversation piece. You can imagine how great it would look hanging up on brick or in a garage. Renk is still in business.
