This vintage feed sack features a yellow cob of corn with green wings. It is distributed by the De Kalb agricultural association in Illinois. The heavy weight cotton sack originally held corn seeds. The sack has not been opened so it measures 15 3/8" across one side for a total of 30 6/8" wide if it were opened. The sack measures 29" in length. The sack is a MF- 5. The sack has the original yellow label that tells about the seed quality and when it was made. This label says it was made in 1943. The sack is in very good condition overall with one spot that appears to be an oil spot. This spot measures 3/4" in diameter and the hole in the middle of this spot measures 1/4" The sack also have some dirt soiling on top of the bag and a line of soiling down the right hand side of the bag(see photo) I haven't laundered ... morethis sack but have brushed off loose dirt.
