Beautiful Vintage Shell Cameo, 10 kt gold, Seed Pearls, Delicate Setting
This beautiful old convertible brooch has wonderful details-so delicate but well-made at the same time. The front of the cameo looks creamy white and the back is palest pink. The local jeweler I took it to to verify that it's a genuine shell cameo thought it might have faded over time. He also confirmed that the little pearl-look elements are seed pearls. It's unsigned. It does have"10 K" impressed on the catch and the bow. It's approx 1 3/4 inches tall and 1 3/8 inches wide. It has a folding bale so it can be suspended from a chain also. Making it more versatile. John Deere H2822B used 10" seed hopper Cover for planters
This is a used John Deere H2822B planter hopper Cover that fits many John Deere corn and other planters. It is the 10" cover with the hole in the center for the AB10901 rod. It has been used and has been sitting on the farm shelf since the early 70's. The corn planter that it would have fit on was sold in the mid 70's. This part never went with it. It had some scratches. Dents and surface rust from normal use. I don't know why it was not on the planter when it was sold. I have cleaned the dust and rust off and repainted it to look good again. It fits the following John Deere planters: 71, 246, 290, 490, 494, 494A, 494AN, 495, 495A,1240, 1250, 1260, 1280, 1290, 1300. I am cleaning off parts shelves and selling parts I don't need. I copied the following information from Wikipedia. This tells the whole story of Frank S. Land. Including why some stones are Pearls and other became Rubies. Presented in very good vintage condition. This small pin only measures 5/8 in. by 7/16 in. and I suspect that is why so many are lost. The Order of DeMolay originally had nine members. The crown appearing in the self-adopted heraldic arms(the emblem) of the order contains 10 rubies. Each of which represents one of the original nine and the organization's founder, Frank S. Land. Originally, the crown of the arms contained pearls, not rubies. When a member of the group died, the pearl representing ... morehim was changed to a ruby. This auction is for 10 used seed starting or propagation trays. These trays have 84 cells in each tray. Each cell is 1 inch by 1 inch by 1 1/2 inches deep. The Tray is 19 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches. These are used. But are in good shape and can be cleaned with soap and water before starting your seeds or cuttings. Theses trays are perfect for starting cutting, or seeding. These trays are what the professional greenhouses use to start their seeds when growing larger seedlings. For smaller seedlings use my 288 trays. Add seed starter mix. Can find at local Garden Center) You put a seed or two in each cell. After the plants fill in the cells with roots, you can transplant the plants to large pots with out disturbing there roots or breaking the roots apart like you do with the old seed starting flats. Stick one of those plastic domes over it or a piece of plastic. After the cutting start to root take off the plastic. And let them finish rooting. The center has five prong set seed pearls framed in a cobalt blue enamel Maltese Cross. Sometimes referred to as a Mo urning pendant.the back is hollow to hold a picture of a beloved one) This 18th century pendant is unmarked for metal content(not uncommon for this period) However it has been tested and confirmed by my fine jeweler Michael to be at least 22K to possibly 24K.
