Very unique key tag. Made of hand tooled leather. It is 3 1/2" long. The front is painted yellow and says Royal Coachman with a lantern. The back is handwritten in red pen. It says 2nd Floor, 78, HALL, NB. We are not sure where this hotel was located. There is currently a modern facility called the Royal Coachman Inn near Seattle, but we aren't sure if it's related. And the books are stored where the cigars are smoked. So keep that in mind as you bid. My friends who borrow books say that the smell wears off in about a week. And you can read them in comfort at that time. They usually read them in dis-comfort before then. Up for auction is the Royal Barouche with Coachman and a pair of Windsor Greys. a very seldom seen 1950s/60s plastic model kit made by Paramount Plastics Ltd. London, England. The plastic pieces are in great condition; unglued and unpainted. with many still on their plastic sprues. Unfortunately the instructions are missing so I can not verify it is complete. The larger pieces appear present(horse halves. Driver halves, four wheels, pieces that combine to build the carriage) I am sell this“as is” so please look over the photos supplied with care to determine for yourself that sufficient pieces are present. A barouche is essentially a town or park carriage. It would be used by the Royal Family for lesser occasions of State. A barouche is a Landau-type open topped carriage with a high driving position. Vintage Die Cast Royal Horse and Carriage with Royal Guard Coachman
You are bidding on a miniature die cast royal coach with a royal guard wearing a tall beefeater/bearskin hat. It is pulled by a white horse. I know the coach didn't show up well against the black background. So if you are really interested let me know and I'll take more pics. The entire set is approx 5" long and 1 1/2" wide near the wheels. The horse is detachable and the coachman is removable also, so there are three pieces in the set. No maker signed this piece; no country of origin, but I assumed it came from England because of the coachman's hat. Set on a dark blue background, the poster depicts a coachman in a red coat holding a whip and blowing a horn. At his feet is a stagecoach and four horses. Both are placed within the cutout of a coachman's head, which reveals a blue sky with cirrus clouds and a Boeing 707 painted in the American Airlines livery. Royal Doulton Series Ware Crock, Canister Tobacco Jar Coachman w/ Pipe No Lid NR
Royal Doulton Series Ware Canister Coachman Smoking Pipe D2645 Up for auction is a fine Royal Doulton Series Ware canister or storage jar with drawings by Charles Noke. It stands 6" high by 4-3/4" across the rim. It may have been designed as a tobacco jar; there is presently no lid. But it makes an excellent utensil crock! It has a warm mustard colored glaze with fine speckles and features a red-nosed gentleman in a top hat and great coat holding a pipe in one hand with a riding crop under his arm. I have not been able to find this particular character on any other Royal Doulton Series Ware piece. He resembles"Tony Wellar" in that he is carrying a riding crop. But Tony Wellar is much heavier and wears a green overcoat with a cape. Would appreciate if any collector can help identify this character! The opposite side depicts ... morethe village street. A wide band runs around the rim with silhouettees of horse-drawn carriages. Stamped on the base with the early Doulton mark as shown. Along with D2645: Condition: Pristine condition. Dette Tied Royal Coachman Wet Fly - Framed
Up for auction is a Dette tied wet fly- Royal Coachman. The fly came out of the James Gray estate. This fly and about 10 other wet flies came out of a box that was labeled with the names of Walter Dette. Winnie Dette and Mary Dette. I will include a picture of that paper. That is the only form of verification that this is a Dette fly. I recently went to the Dette Fly Shop in Roscoe while on a fishing trip. I took the box of flies and the card with the signatures and confirmed that the signatures are the actual signatures of Walt, Winnie and Mary Dette.
