A very nice sheet metal lifting clamp made by Renfroe. MADE IN USA. 3000 pound lifting capacity. A great hoist accessory for any fabrication shop. Has a 0" to 3/4" thickness capacity. This item is used. But shows very little signs of wear. The pinch teeth are very sharp. Almost looks new. A couple of inspection labels on the side where it was certified safe at a plant in 2009. Rigging Clamp Jaws Tool Industrial Crane Crosby Clevis Iron Lifting Hoist ???
Up for auction here is a rather mystery item. I think it's some sort of clamp or jaws for lifting heavy loads with a crane. The person that had this piece was said to have worked at a oil rig. I have know way of knowing for sure. This is a very cool piece weighing around 12 pounds. Stretched out it measures around 19 inches. It has two Crosby clevises that read: WLL 3 1/4T 45 CROSBY 45 5/8& something else but can't make it out. It has a ring with a round brass tag with the number 152 on it. The clevis pins& the large center pivot bolt has a spot of weld on them to keep them from coming off. The device has a 4 TON MAX weight limit stamp on it. Also are the letters E& LFI. This Renfroe plate steel lifting clamp has been slightly used. But is still in excellent condition. The teeth are in excellent condition, and appear to be used just slightly. The clamp has a lifting capacity of 0 to 1 inch. I used a silver marking pen to try to bring out the words on the clamp, but cannot make out a for sure WLL. The last line says, Ton 0- 1 and I am not sure if it means it has a WLL of 0 to 1 ton, or if there is a number before Ton and the 0- 1 indicates the thickness of steel it can lift, because I measured it with a micrometer, and it can lift from 0 to 1 inch thick steel.
