5/8' x 30 FT Alloy Chain Sling Rigging Tow Logging Lifting Hoist Hooks Vintage
Up for bids is a 5/8" x 30 FT long grade 80 overhead alloy chain sling. It is a Teledyne McKay brand and stamped working load limit(WLL) 16.500 lb at 90 degrees lift. For overhead lifting they use a safety factor of 5 to 1, ratio(5:1) so you can do the math what it would take to break it. This is the last big chain I have left to sell, and it was always my favorite one. Im retiring and cant lift it myself anymore anyway, she weighs in at about 140 LB. I got this chain used in the 70's so it is probably vintage,but I kept it painted over the years to protect it but also to make it more visible so it would not get lost in the woods. I also added a fresh coat of paint before listing. I fixed this chain with two Hammerlok Brand 3/4" connector links so when I didnt need the 30 ft chain I could remove a 10 ft section and connect the ... more2 ends with hooks back to form a 20 ft chain. The master link measures 5 1/2" x 10" x 1" dia. the 5/8 grab hook is about 4 1/2" x 7 3/4" the slip hook is about 6.250" wide and 9.5" long with a min of 2.625" opening. When you dont need the grab hook. It can be slid around the master link out of the way. The 3/4" hammerlok alloy connectors measure about 4-1/4" wide and 6-1/2" long and 7/8" dia. The links do not weaken the chain in any way since they have a working load limit of much more than the chain. A new 3/4" hammerlok link sells for over 100.00 each. The links are easy to remove and join back. One of the links uses the old school coil spring inside the locking collar to hold the pin in place and the other uses a heavy split pin. The only affordable way to ship the chain is to take apart(see last photo) and ship in 3 separate flat rate boxes. Trying to ship the 140 lb in one package woud have to go freight for several hundred dollars. The 1/4" chain shown in photo 2 is for size comparison and not included. Teledyne Mckay 5/8 Alloy Chain Sling 12 ft Hoist Lifting Tow Recovery Rigging
Up for bids is a good used Teledyne Mckay 5/8" Grade 80 Alloy chain sling. The Reach is 12 ft 4 in to the master link and 12 ft 11 in to the grab hook on the master link. This was originally a 30 ft sling but was shortened to 12 ft and a Herc-Alloy Grade 80 Clevlok sling hook for 5/8 chain size was added. The 30 ft is still showing on the tag. The chain was much to long and heavy to sell that way. This is a rare to find sling with the factory installed 5/8 in grab hook on the master link. When the grab hook is not needed it can slide around the master link out of the way. I made the chain as long as I could and still be able to stay under the USPS 70 lb limit. The chain weighs 65 lb in the large flat rate box. Most slings like this are 10 ft reach so I figured someone might need the extra 3 ft. The sling is rated at working load limit ... moreof 16.500 lb. US Military Commercial Industrial Cargo Load Lifting Sling Netting 15x15
This Military Cargo Netting is Very New Looking With Very Little Use Wear. It is 15 feet by 15 feet. The straps are 1.5 inches wide and spaced 1 foot apart. Originally this netting had tie down straps on all four sides. However. On two sides the straps have been cut. There is no metal hardware on two of the sides, just a foot long cut strap. There are also two rows of metal loops on the middle area of the netting. Otherwise all of the netting is undamaged. There are some military numbers and letters that identify this nettting, see my last photo. This netting is quite heavy at 50 pounds.
