All the shackles used by bethlehem steel are heavy duty and in good shape. I bought roughly 200 assorted shackles at auction. So far I have sold around 20. Huge 16-1/2" Shackle Hoists Winches Rigging 55ton + 2-3/4" Screw Pin Crosby?
Hi I think this is a construction or rigging shackle as that is the information I can find about it. I have not found a name on it but looked up the largest one on the Crosby sight and the largest one they had was a 55 ton 2-1/2 inch shaft(this one is almost 3" for the pin) for about $800.00 and theirs weighted 55 pounds(this one is about 75-80#s)so this is a little bigger then that. This is about 16-1/2 to 17" inches long. Some dings from being used but in good working order. The screw pin goes in and out as it should. This is a really big shackle and weights about 80 pounds all together. I will have to ship these seperate as I am over the limit(70pounds) for the weight at the post office. Shipping will be a flat rate of 50.00 and if it comes to more than that i will put in the rest and if a lot less a refund will be given. Yes. I am back in the shackle business. At the latest Bethlehem Steel auction there were several lots of shackles for sale. Someone outbid me on the giant(30ton) shackles, yet left me a ton of these smaller shackles, eyebolts and clamps. I also bought over 1000 industrial wrenches. don't ask me why) My wife thought I was crazy before but now she definitely wants to commit me. For sale are five crosby shackles. They are marked 3 1/4 tons and 5/8 inch. Please note* My original plan was to take pictures of the five shackles for sale and then relist them with new pictures. Some buyers are particular about the look of the shackles. This is taking too much time so I am changing tactics. I have fifty four of these shackles(so far) The pictures show the range of condition the shackles are in. Some look newer than others. Vintage Crosby Laughlin 3/4" Clevis Screw Pin Anchor Shackle
This was from the Estate of Sarah E. Forbes. She was big into boats and this one looks like it was used a long time ago. She passed away from an auto accident at the age of 87 and I do not know what year this is from but judging by the patina and the age of the rope.It would have to be a vintage piece. It also states 1 3/4 T on it. The release pin is locked up so I'm not sure if this is useable but I imagine you could loosen it up with some oil. Email with any questions and I'll try to answer them.

For sale are two 4-3/4 ton bicycle shackles 3/4" As you can see by the pictures these are not the clovis style but the D shaped or bicycle style shackle. I think I have my terminology correct. If I am just making this up look at the pictures and you can figure it out for yourself. These shackles look like they have seen many years. They are more beat up than the other shackles I have sold but they still seem sturdy to me. Also one of the pins doesn't screw in as far as the other one but it goes most of the way. We have for sale 3 Vintage Used Clevis Bow Shackles Rigging 1-1/4" Crosby. The smaller clevis is marked Crosby and is 7/8 inches. The two larger clevis have no markings that I can find probably Crosby and they are 1-1/4 inches. I do not know what their tonnage would be for lifting. You can see their approximate dimensions from the photos. They are used but have plenty of good use in them. These will be shipped in a MFR box to keep the shipping costs down. Offered for auction is this Crosby 3/4 shackle. Offered for auction: Crosby 3/4 Shackle L5G I don't remember where I got this shackle. But I have used it for a paperweight for quite some time. It weighs 35 ounces(2.18 pounds) and measures approximately 5-1/4" in length. Please refer to my scans) The clevis pin screws in and out easily. The lettering is worn and hard to read. I can make out"Crosby" and"3/4" and what looks like"L5G" Must have been painted blue at one time as there are remnants of blue paint in places. The load weight I stated is extrapolated from the I found that was closest to this item. It had a rating of 2.4 ton and had the number 8 imprinted on them.Mine has a 4.Just cut the rating in half. The use of the name McKissick. I see a connection to the that vendor from my research on the web. but these are older pulleys and I found no concrete info that they are McKissick. I am concerned that I will sound as if I know what I am talking about. So I made that second disclaimer. Sheaves are 1/2" wide by 2-1/2" in Diameter. As I said in Condition Description" Am Guessing at the load weight.Item has superficial rust. will not effect performance Sheaves look great. Spin ... morefree. no play.
